This is a beautiful old historic hotel the rooms were lovely but most importantly, the staff was incredible we stayed over the 4th of July Weekend Glenwood Springs was packed and we ended up eating most of our meals at the restaurant; we had breakfast and dinner, as well as room service. The food was delicious and actually very reasonably priced. We want to return during the winter months. I would also note that the hotel is located near everything; walking distance to the hot springs, and a nice pedestrian bridge right to the heart of town.

1800-era hotel so it has its own unique vibe, though a subdued one. YouTube videos of the hotel focus on ghost sightings. Can’t verify that, but I defy you —if you go to an upper floor, turn a corner and see long hallway—not to start mumbling to yourself…”red-rum, red-rum”.

I loved the architecture and history of the hotel and the lobby and grounds are beautiful and inviting. The historic photos, documents, articles and art are interesting to study. My room was charming and comfortable, and the wide hall reminded me of plantation homes I've visitied in the deep south. I had dinner at the outdoor bar - food and drinks were great, bartender friendly and fun conversation with other guests. Location is fantastic across the street from the the Glenwood Springs pool and it's an easy walk to downtown for restaurants, shops and exploring. Had no problem parking on the street. Have recommended the Hotel Colorado and have friends who have booked for the fall!
