We stayed in the studio suite in a corner room. Great hotel with a nice Speakeasy on the mezzanine level. Helpful staff and great location.

My girlfriend and I checked in. The front desk staff was super friendly upon check in. The room was spacious. I recommend to anyone looking for a quiet stay with the downtown experience. I will definitely stay at hotel G again.

Welcoming staff. Parking is next door which is super convenient. Hotel room felt like a nice studio in New York with concert floors which made it feel oddly cleaner. Although it’s by the tenderloin, there are many options to shop, eat, and grab drinks. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise and would highly recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel G. The property is old San Francisco and the house rolls with it. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We were upgraded to a more spacious room and had a bottle of local Merlot waiting for us. The unfinished concrete floors were odd but worked. The furnishings were spartan but again kind of just worked. The bed was comfy enough. The bathroom was quaint…rather small with a tiny little sink. But once more echoed the vibe. The in-room Nespresso coffee machine was a real treat. Nice! The staff we encountered were wonderful. Polite and helpful. We would stay at Hotel G on a subsequent visit for sure.

Felt like having my own place in San Francisco! Loved the old building and the staff is top-notch. Definitely walkable to Moscone and is next to all the best shopping in the city. Perfect location for exploring the city! Super close to muni/streetcar.

I booked a Deluxe Room-1 King through Expedia. The room I was placed in was at the end of the hallway on the 8th floor. One elevator was operating which was then shared by all guests across 10 floors; this resulted in longer than ideal/typical elevator wait times. If I was in a hurry to leave, it was a safe bet that taking the stairs was quicker than the elevator. There is a single filtered water dispenser located on the second floor, which was appreciated for filling up my own water bottle but a hassle to use due to the slow elevator. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and decor was appropriate for a modern minimalist aesthetic. Street noise was not an issue and the large window seemed effective at dampening sound. The room was cozy and perfect for a solo traveler; however, it was smaller than a typical hotel but this is to be expected in an old building located at the center of a busy big city. I especially appreciated the open closet-type space which helped me keep clothing organized, with 8 total hangers and a dresser with two drawers. The bathroom was small--fine for one person, but probably tight with two people. The plumbing fixtures were somewhat dated, but worked fine, with near-instant hot water and adequate water pressure. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, only a window. Heat and a/c worked fine. Location was great, and the main reason I booked the room. Central to most anything within SF with uber/lyft <$20.

I stayed here for business and it was a great hotel for that - quiet, amenities like an iron and ironing board, and a great restaurant in the lobby so I didn’t have to search for a place to eat after a long day of meetings. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s an older building but it has been smartly remodeled and my room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Centrally located, right on Union Square and on a better, less scary block (right next to the Westin Saint Francis). I’ll stay there again.

Big rooms! Lots of space to walk around and not feel like you're on top of each other. The toilet was to close to the shower for my liking cause my hip was touching the shower door. Staff was nice and the place was under construction which left the elevator looking weird but it functioned fine.

Buena ubicación, muy cerca de Union square hay muchas cosas por hacer cerca del hotel. Cuando yo fui se encontraba en remodelación el elevador pero no tuve ningún inconveniente por eso, las habitaciones bastante limpias, amplias y cómodas. El personal atento y muy amable.
