We found this sweet, little gem and thoroughly enjoyed our quiet and comfortable stay in this charming community. It exceeded our expectations! The staff was most helpful throughout our two nights stay from check-in to check out. They were cheerful and friendly. Our room was large, clean and updated. The bed was super comfortable and the linens soft. Was nice to have a little refrigerator and microwave in the room as well as the coffee maker. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and outside on the patio. We loved the quiet evenings and walking around the little community exploring. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and relax in a beautiful setting, this is it!

The bed was amazingly comfortable. The room was gorgeous and we had a great view of the courtyard outside the hotel.

Great hotel with lots of history. Close to shops and restaurants. We only wished that the hotel bar/restaurant stayed open later than 8pm. Bike rentals would be a bonus as well. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

Design and decor of the building and rooms were exceptional. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was tasty, nicely prepared and waitstaff very attentive. All and all a fantastic place to stay and hope to be back soon.

Never expected such a great stay from the first impressions, but so wonderfully surprised. I would stay here anytime visiting Amanas.

EXCELLENT FROM ALL ASPECTS OF OUR STAY…A DEFINITE DIAMOND IN ROUGH IN AMANA COLONIES! It has become our must stay LODGING, spent 12 days in the facility well worth the value.

Everything was great. One improvement would be a non slip shower floor and shower door mat. It was very slick with soap use. Also, a shower stool to sit upon would be nice for us older clients. I’m afraid someone is going to fall in shower or outside of it. Thank you

Wow. What a hidden jewel! 20 mins from yhe airport! This place and this tiny village has it all. This is a foodies paradise too. I could not resist the new woven blanket I picked from their onsite store (and small mill). I will be coming for a Christmas week with my daughter and will book this right away. Iowa is a beautiful state. Can't wait to come back. Jana (spelling might be off) was just fantastic to chat with.

If you decide to visit the Amana Colonies, you must stay here at the Millwright hotel. This hotel has so much history and it is displayed everywhere. I truly enjoyed my stay here. They do have a restaurant on site that serves breakfast lunch and dinner. It is very close to all the shops and dining areas in town. I would definitely stay here again.

The property is so unique and beautiful, there’s not another place like it! Staff was welcoming, the onsite restaurant was excellent, and we loved that everything you want to see and do is within walking distance. Our room was spacious and modern, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We’re already making plans to come back!

We had 4 rooms for various family members over the 4th of July - we already have our reservation in for next year! Jessica at the front desk was delightful - hope she's there next year!
