I love the historic aspect of this property! I really wish they had more amenities such as a breakfast or perhaps a full bar, but I understand that they are limited and what they can offer

Our recent stay at Hotel San Buena was nothing short of exceptional. While the property itself is beautiful, what truly distinguishes this hotel is its people. Hospitality is not simply a service offered here—it is the very heart of the culture. From the moment my husband and I arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth, welcoming smiles, and a level of kindness that immediately made us feel valued as guests. Every interaction with the staff reflected a sincere commitment to hospitality, professionalism, and guest satisfaction. It is evident that caring for others is not just part of their job description; it is something they genuinely embrace. Beyond the outstanding service, the location is ideal. Hotel San Buena is within walking distance of the heart of the city, providing convenient access to a wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, and local attractions. Whether you are looking for casual dining, upscale cuisine, or something in between, the diverse selection of nearby restaurants offers something for every taste and preference.

Can't say enough good things about this special hotel. The lobby, courtyard and our room were all interesting and beautiful. The staff was kind and attentive. The location is perfect for walking to the many fun thrift stores, amazing restaurants and coffee shops and fun evening vibes of live music on the streets of Ventura.

We had a wonderful experience at San Bueno. The hotel is beautiful, newly remodeled and just lovely. So clean and quiet, located 2 minutes walking from all the restaurants and shopping. The staff was professional, friendly and when we asked, the staff gave us great recommendations to local areas to see and restaurants to eat at.

The hotel is absolutely lovely -- the staff were all kind and professional. We did ask about getting a different room that wasn't on the first floor in a dark corner...but the room was so cute we eventually didn't care. But if you book with a third party -- such as Expedia -- they won't upgrade or accommodate requests.

Excellent stay! The hotel is lovely and the renovations respected the architectural style of the original Elks Lodge. The staff was exceptional - every interaction we had with them was professional and friendly. We ran the 1/2 Marathon so having coffee available at 4am was an appreciated extra kindness.

We had a brief but fabulous time. Miranda, the concierge, could not have been more accommodating and sweet. She made the stay extra nice. The room was impeccable. The bed comfortable but even better the pillows were comfortable. This hotel even smells nice! I can’t say enough good things about our stay here. We can’t wait to return.

Lovely hotel, I’ve stayed many times. The staff is wonderful, the coffee set up in the morning is perfect, the nightly turn down service includes a delicious treat (often fresh baked cookies still warm) and the rooms are large and beautiful. Very conveniently walking distance to all the restaurants. I love this hotel!
