Amazing and really thoughtful amenities. The breakfast was also the best I’ve ever seen. Had a ham and Swiss croissant and an egg casserole.

Loved the Roof-top breakfast--the servers, choice of drink & food, & beautiful ocean/beach view. Also, enjoyed the pie & ice cream which we had on our first nite. Room was large (looked like it was designed for disabled person.) Staff was accommodating to my friend who was still recovering from knee surgery & gave us room on 2nd floor & helped w/ carrying up her luggage to the room. Only drawback was that there were no elevators, but we were informed of that in advance--hence requested a 2nd floor room. My friend & I agreed that we would go back if we were ever in the area again. All of the staff we encountered were friendly & helpful.

This was my first time and I love it , Breakfats was really good with a beautiful view ,staff was excellent .On the evening they have fresh pies and you could borrow bicycles ,chairs and umbrella for the beach .

The person who served breakfast also made espresso drinks and it was great. The view from sun deck was great also. Only issue we had was water was cold for shower.

Breakfast was great, friendly staff and WOW the view from the rooftop is perfect! We enjoyed our room, 3rd floor with an ocean view from one window. The room could use some lighting over the table but otherwise perfect. The hotel perks are nice extras you don’t see everywhere, we enjoyed the nightly warm pie and ice cream! Inn at Avila Beach is our go to hotel, just across the street from the beach. Visit this place and enjoy Avila beach with the best weather on the central coast!

Staff was very helpful, 5 star breakfast, beach view from upper deck is amazing at sunset, romantic rooms. Took bikes on the Bob Jones trail to Avila Barn and Secret Garden.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed, staff was friendly and the extras that were offered by the hotel were wonderful. Breakfast on the top floor open patio overlooking the ocean was wonderful. We will definitely stay there again and again

Beautiful location. Breakfast on the roof with the ocean across the street was beautiful. Free mini pie and ice cream in the evening. Walking distance to so much.

The hotel is not in it's heyday, but it does have that incredible charm of being an historic hotel. If you want a unique experience and a real fun place to stay, its a nice place. The beach motif in every room which differs every time you stay. Parking is tight but manageable. I say pack light because there are a lot of stairs and walkways if you have a room away from the beach. And your front porch is the beach, so it is all worth it.
