Best BANG for the BUCK. I love walking and riding bikes everywhere. The Highlands THE coolest spot in Denver and I love staying here. Cool little bistros, coffee shops and bars. Also, bike riding/walking distance to downtown. Great cityscape views. Total hipster paradise, and I love it. If you're looking for 5 star, this isn't it. I wish others' wouldn't leave bad reviews of this place. They like saving money and then b--- that it's not the Ritz Carlton. Stay away and leave the savings for the rest of us. : )

Thank you again for accommodating us. The staff, (Edith and Greg) are efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and do their best to make the necessary arrangements. Best view in town. Hopefully the pool gets a chance to really bring in guest. $$$$ ... It would be a great investment. Mb&Max

I was very comfortable staying here. I chose to travel by scooter (many available within a couple block walk) to downtown and River North neighborhoods. Confluence park is close by and a great place to hang if you want to chill. Ball Arena and the Rockies stadium are pretty close by scooter or a quick drive. This is not a fancy hotel. It is clean and comfortable. The bed was to my liking.

Definitely an older property. Feels a little under maintained, but good for the price. bathrooms were a little dirty.

We were worried because the day we arrived, we noticed that the Google reviews were much worse than the Hotels.com reviews. However, we were relieved to see that there weren't any bugs in our room or blood splatters on the walls as Google reviewers foretold. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and had a nice view of the city, and the breakfast options were simple but decent. I just wished that breakfast went until 10 instead of 9am. I tend to be the queen of booking stays at properties that were probably lit in the 70s, but could use some live today. The elevator looks a little sketchy, but works. There's a big concrete floor area that could have been anything back in the day. I bet if the old fireplace and bar areas were renovated, they'd have a nice lounge. Ultimately, you get what you pay for here. I was very happy to find an affordable option so close to downtown. We stayed for a week and didn't have any major issues, but I'm also easy to please.

Very cool motel! The view of the city is beautiful, it has a vintage vibe, and the area felt safe. There are also some very good restaurants within walking distance. I will say it could use some TLC but the location and view makeup for it. Staff was also kind and helpful.
