Fantastic and unique place to stay. The old building is preserved but has all of the modern amenities you need. We loved the shower in the old drunk tank. Plenty of great spots within walking distance including a great neighborhood brewery and nice restaurants. Close enough to the French quarter, we walked there but Ubered back after dark. Todd the owner greeted us and showed us the place and sent us recommendations. He had beers in the fridge that you can grab and leave cash or a Venmo, grab one and head to the nice rooftop patio. Would highly recommend this place if you want to get off the beaten path, we hope to return in the future!

Sehr hilfsbereite und freundliche Besitzer, immer erreichbar, falls etwas war. Super Zimmer und Gemeinschaftsräume. Riesige Terrasse zur Mitbenutzung. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. Ins Frenchquarter sind es etwa 20 Gehminuten.

This place is amazing! Everyone is incredibly friendly, the building is gorgeous and has been beautifully renovated. The beds are comfortable, and Todd went out of his way to make our stay perfect. Conveniently located to food and to the cruise port. Will stay again for our next time in town. Thanks a bunch for a great night!

So much personality to the place and not far from the French Quarter. Todd, the owner and our host, was friendly and accommodating. Our room was one of the suites and it was clean and comfortable. If I return to NOLA, this will be my top choice.

This place is all right, all right, all right! The Old Jail is a gem, if you like original old buildings you’re in it for a treat! The Police Jail has a lot old charm and character, situated in Tremé / LaFitte neighborhood. Go to breakfast or brunch to Leo’s Bread or Flour Mood! Walkable distance to New Orleans Streetcars on Canal Street or take the city bus just around the corner! -Pierre

The Inn is really cool! Love the history, architecture and bed was very comfortable. Communication was great. The neighborhood seemed a little sketchy, but as we pulled up to park and once inside we gave it no thought. We drove everywhere we went anyway.

This is one of the coolest places to stay in NOLA. They did an excellent job preserving the history of the jail house with thoughtful details and fun decor throughout the inn. The common area is spacious and welcoming like a big house, beautiful kitchen area, lots of tables and seats 3 pianos and occasional musicians popping on to play a tune. The roof deck is wonderful for enjoying a beverage and some chill time. The 20min walk to the French Quarter and charming. Todd our host is the best and will give you great recs. We'd definitely come back to stay at the Jail House!

The Inn at the Old Jail is exactly what it says. A fantastic place to stay with authentic feel and original features. Todd our host was brilliant and very knowledgeable about the history of the building plus gave us very useful information about what to do and where to eat etc. We could not really fault this place to stay with its quirky feel and historical vent which includes various memorabilia from its past use.

The Inn at the Old Jail is a unique historic botique hotel, with tremendous character and charm. The host of the Inn is very knowledgeable about New Orleans and makes you feel like a guest in his home! We had a wonderful time in New Orleans and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else next time we visit!

Very nice place to stay. Not the normal "hotel". It is beautiful inside and just the history behind the Inn. If we ever come back I would definitely stay here again. I could see where parking could be an issue as it is in a residential area. We were lucky and parked right out front.
