We stayed here for two nights. We really enjoyed the historic hotel and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable in the King bedroom we stayed in. The room was adequate in size for us. My husband fell in love with the robe! He actually wore it to sleep in because it was so soft and cozy! The hotel was quiet with the exception of other guests that came in later and closed their doors hard. The A/C worked great but was loud for sleeping purposes. We ate in the hotel restaurant for dinner one night. My husband enjoyed the steak. I ordered the risotto which I would Not recommend. It did not have good consistency and there was not much seafood in it. The staff was super sweet. Skylar recommended a good breakfast dinner, The Highland Park Diner and they had a fabulous breakfast. The hotel just had basic things to grab and go but we like a full hot breakfast in the morning.

I enjoyed my stay. The photo of the room was a bit deceiving: mine was much smaller. Also, I wish my room had two keys: this is a boutique hotel and they don't use keycards. Otherwise, the location was great (3 blocks from Eastman School of Music), nice breakfast with extended hours, and a very friendly and helpful staff.

I love this hotel. It has more character than any other place I have stayed on my travels. It seems like time travel to a bygone era before giant hotel corporations. In addition, the staff is excellent and treated us in a flexible and personal way. My son went to Eastman School of music and I stayed here 5 times over his four years in Rochester. My only regret about his graduation is that i won’t be staying here again. Also, as a perk, check out the jazz club in the basement. We saw my son and other local musicians gig there and it is worth the visit.

I loved staying in this historic beauty with a speakeasy jazz club beneath it. I enjoy vintage style and this place was simply a delight and adjacent to the Eastman Museum! Great little boutique find!

Everything was great. Historical but in great condition. Would have like a bigger selection for breakfast than just bagels.

We have a lovely stay in a beautiful room. The hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of Rochester, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the downtown area! Will return!
