I stayed in one of the cottages. It is quaint, clean, quiet, comfy & accommodating. Parking very nearby. Small kitchenette with amenities to cook simple meals.

Parking is a bit of a challenge in the evening. I found parking up by the playground on Rice St. Please add that to your parking recommendations. The room has everything you need and is in a quiet part of town. Very comfortable.

Great local economy place to stay. It was clean and the vibes very much Aloha oriented. The GM Ron was a gem full of knowledge on Hawaiian history and culture, willing to take all the time to share his knowledge and answer any questions of the guests. There is an amazing collection of Hawaiian artifacts on display in the lobby at f the hotel. If you are not looking for luxury accommodations, Would definitely recommend this hotel! Much mahalos! K

This is a wonderful hotel if you are looking for a quiet place that has an authentic Hawaiian feel. The lobby is essentially a museum and is fascinating to take a trip back in time. My girls loved the hotel cat, Mango, and really enjoyed their stay. Also, there are several really good locally owned restaurants within walking distance, so support the locals!! I really enjoyed our stay and will be back when I get the chance.

The hotel was impeccably clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable and the shower had amazing water pressure. Excellent historic character. If I ever return to Kauai I would stay there again without hesitation.

I always go to this hotel right after I arrive in Kauai. It’s a wonderful place to drop your luggage and sleep. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean.

Ok so let me start off by saying this was the coziest staycation. It was my first time visiting Hawaii and their rate was the best compared to the big name competitors. Booking something small is always scary but when I walked in I noticed how clean it was. It’s super close diners and cafes and there’s a Walmart close by for any last minute items. They have a fridge in the unit and offer AC. In the AM it’s just coffee but when you’re in Hawaii there’s plenty of food elsewhere. This place will stay on my list for any future Kaua’i trips.

Super warm and cozy lodging. Feels like a home away from home. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. My cottage was very clean but it is an older building in general so not spotless. Saw a couple little insects throughout my stay (like centipedes) but with the building being older and made of wood, I expected this. No amenities but they are up front about that when booking and it’s reflected in the very affordable pricing. Cottage had everything I could need; hot plate, rice cooker, dishes and utensils, etc. I will say there’s significant noise. The walls are definitely thin and I was directly across from a pre-school. Front desk does offer earplugs. I would also keep my AC unit running for the air but it also drowned out most noise! Would definitely stay again!!!

We got a "cottage" (really a small room connected to others), which included a small kitchen area with fridge, microwave and some utensils & plates. A little tight, but good AC, TV & bed; office area with Hawiian history displays and good free coffee in the morning; nicely tended grounds; good location for walking around Lahue; about a mile to beach, airport or Walmart. Friendly, helpful folks.

Every one was very helpful ,especially front desk person Rini. She went out of her way to make us comfortable. At one point, late in the evening and she was limping with pain in her legs, yet she helped us out with some advice about next day our trip. Rini was ever smiling and extra-oridinarily helpful. Next tome if at all we visit Lihue, we will stay at at this hotel, only because Rini was just too good. God bless Rini.
