The room was so much larger than we expected! The staff was super helpful with directions on visiting the redwood forest. She even directed us to the area where the filmed the forest of Endor scenes from Star Wars:) Angela was especially helpful on the night shift. I can’t thank her enough! We had a great time, even though it was only for a night.

The sea themes in the lobby were cool to see. Room was huge and everything felt clean when walking in. Plus the bed was decently comfortable.

We stays for 2 nights on our way to visit redwood parks. To summarize: fair price, big room, free coffee and tea 24 hours, free breakfast and good location.

My wife and I stay here every time we are in town, which is usually three or four times a year. This is an older hotel, but we enjoy the rustic appeal and charm. As soon as we walk in the front door and see Angela’s smiling face behind the front desk we feel very welcome and glad we made the choice to stay here. This is our fifth year coming here and we have always found the place to be clean and the staff to be very friendly and helpful. They do have a free breakfast that does start the day, although it is on the basic side, cold cereal, bagel, oatmeal, and fruit. Beds and pillows are both a little on the firm side to me. Overall, we were very happy with this hotel and will definitely stay here the next time we are in town.

The staff is excellent! The rooms are spacious more like a suite than room. Marina across the street and south beach 1/2 mile away. The breakfast fit our needs, we were exploring a lot, so the grab snd go bagels, fruit, etc were great for us.

The staff was so friendly and helpful on where to go sightseeing as we were on motorcycles. The restaurants were pretty busy, service and food was very good. Would definitely stay again.

Location was great - staff very helpful! Rooms comfortable. NOTE: be careful if coffee machine need to be refreshed, wealthy CA guests get quite 'tedious' in the queue - staff handles this issue w/ speed & grace

We enjoyed our stay here. They have a very friendly responsive staff. They kept the breakfast stocked and it was a good basic breakfast. They were very helpful to accommodate our needs. We would definitely stay here again.

very close to ocean, the breakfast has decent selections. The price of the room is very reasonable. There is a sushi restaurant across the street from the hotel has very nice Japanese food.

The location is excellent, right near the beach and close to all different trails for the Redwood Parks (which was the reason for our visit). The staff were also very helpful and the rooms were quite spacious. The main issue was around the breakfast (very limited options) and the bedding (which had different stains on them). The mattress was comfortable and the room was clean, however. Given the price, we will gladly stay again!

Good staff and clean room. Weird having sink in the sleeping area but not a huge deal. Needs updating but they'd charge more most likely.
