This was a beautiful hotel, especially the spa. If you check in late be prepared to wait for a little bit for someone to get to the front desk.

Room was small but super clean and well equipped. The rooftop bar has an amazing view but I wish they would serve drinks up there. They make you go to the bar on the ground floor, buy your drink and then take it up yourself. You even have to close your tab every time you get a drink. I think they're missing a lot of business. I would have stayed at the rooftop a lot longer but going up and down the elevator gets old after a while. Aside from that it's a great hotel and I will definitely stay there again. I just might go have a drink elsewhere.

Getting in the property through the main door can be challenging (steps and doors are in the way when you are carrying luggage) but we found out that there a door on the side which is a lot easier to get in. Overall very nice, the room was some smaller than expected. We had a nice time at the spa. Definitely recommended if you stay in Hood River.

The restoration of this building kept the vintage feel but with modern amenities. The bed was comfortable, plenty of towels and comfy robes. The staff were super friendly and accommodating . We came in an ‘off season’ so most of downtown dining closes at 9pm including the hotel. We plan to revisit soon!

The Lightwell is a wonderful little hotel in a great location. Easy walk to all of downtown Hood River. Everything was clean, well taken care of with friendly staff. Rooms are small with no onsite parking, however parking was close.
