A magnificent surprise !! Amazing architecture, quiet, a library, amazing home-cooked breakfast, and a most interesting host. This place will be on my “always stay” list. I think of this place and the host almost every day since I left.

What a wonderful and memorable gem!! The Hosts are wonderful, talented and interesting people who added so much to the stay at their beautiful property. The location a few miles outside Cedar Edge was so serene and gorgeous with views of two mountain ranges and a lovely garden. The home is archtecturally beautiful and my room was completely comfortable and delightfully furnished. The private patio was so relaxing and a great place for both dinner (which I brought with me), and the delicious, gourmet breakfast the next morning. I enjoyed my conversation with both hosts, and highly recommend Maison de Terre. They also serve, and sell, their delicious drinking chocolate, so don't miss that! I've enjoyed it in a variety of ways after returning home!!

Maisson de Terre was a great base for exploring the Grand Mesa. Fascinating home. Great hosts. Terrific breakfast. Terrie and Marty and Ivy (pup) were very accommodating to us and our dog. At first when driving there, it seemed in the middle of nowhere. Then we realized that was part of the appeal (and the Grand Mesa is very accessible). We enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying there again.

Teri was a very gracious hostess, we showed up late but it wasn’t a problem. Pet friendly was a huge plus for us and breakfast was a wonderful bonus. Beautiful property and we would love to visit again. Pete & Chris Rojas

This is a wonderfully comfortable bed and breakfast. We felt so welcome and relaxed. The property is great, lots of outdoor space to enjoy. our dogs had a fun time playing with the hosts dog and were as welcome as we were! The breakfast was YUMMY!! The best scones ever!! The host is warm and a pleasure to talk with. We loved our stay!

We loved this B&B! The host and her dog took great care of us, with an excellent room and great breakfast. Staying here was one of the best values we've ever found. It's worth venturing off the interstate corridor just to stay here.

Great stay with wonderful hosts. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast each morning in the inspiring library. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. Bathrooms were creative and perfectly functional including heated floors. The small interior greenhouse was a treat full of lovely scents from the fresh herbs and flowers. Easily accessible. Treat yourself to a stay at this welcoming property; I highly recommend it.

Everything was perfect. The house was so warm and cozy. The rooms were unique, comfortable and quiet. The claw foot soaking tub was amazing, in its own little alcove.The hosts were very charming and interesting to chat with. The breakfasts were so delicious! The best scone I’ve ever eaten! I would go back over and over. Highly recommend it. And don’t forget to take home some of their delicious hot chocolate drink mix!

Beautiful bed and breakfast near the Grand Mesa. The room was huge and unique design. Bathroom had the largest tub I’ve seen in a while! Breakfast was fantastic!

We loved staying there. Marty and Terry were very friendly and we loved their house. I also loved their dog. Marty built the adobe house. It is located off the beaten path, which I loved. Scones in the morning were excellent and homemade by Terry, as was the rest of the breakfast provided. I wish I had taken a picture of it and the bedroom I stayed in, which was nicely furnished. They have a few acres and there is a nice path with a great view from their back yard. Would definitely stay there again if I'm in the area. Cute downtown area with a few restaurants. They do have a microwave and dorm size fridge available as well as LOTS of books and a TV if you want/need to watch something.
