I really recommend this hotel. Clean, safe and friends staff. Got a great room close to the Elevator. Hotel is close to Union Square, Cable Car, Macy’s, Wahlgree’s, restaurants and coffee stores. Bus no 2 across the Street. I would say 10/10

Historic hotel in a good location. The rooms were clean but somewhat small. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, with a buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage (or brats), home fried potatoes, waffles, fruit, and yogurt. We used public transit (primarily buses) extensively, but the staff were not knowledgeable about which bus routes stopped near the hotel. The $15 per person, per day MuniMobile transit card was well worth the expense, given the steep hills in San Francisco which make walking to most destinations an exhausting experience.

Loved this hotel and feel blessed to have found it. Could not ask for a better stay in SF!! If I could give it 100 stars I would!!! Everyone from the front desk to the bartender and the wait staff at Chestys and the maids who were so warm and welcoming made this stay one I would recommend to anyone traveling to SF!!!

My stay at the Marines’ Memorial Club & Hotel was outstanding. The hotel is beautiful, full of history, and unlike any place I’ve stayed before. The military memorabilia throughout the building creates a unique and meaningful atmosphere while still feeling warm and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, making it easy to relax after exploring San Francisco. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Union Square, restaurants, shopping, and public transportation. One of my favorite parts was the complimentary breakfast on the top floor. The food was delicious, and the panoramic views of the city were absolutely breathtaking. If you’re looking for a hotel with exceptional service, a great location, and a unique sense of history, I highly recommend the Marines’ Memorial Club & Hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

My family had a great experience here. The building was nice, and the staff was so warm. The highlight was the breakfast - excellent and filling every morning. We loved how close it was to public transport and walkable to a lot of restaurants and bodegas. Highly recommend.

An exemplary buffet breakfast served on the 12th floor. Old school. Omelet station. Freshly squeezed orange juice.
