Nice clean little room. Great for the price. Updated rooms. The TV didnt work but Mike helped us fix it easily. There is no coffee machines in the room but there is a very nice coffee maker in the lobby.

The rooms weren’t large, but had a nice, comfortable King bed. A private bathroom with a tub and shower combo and toilet. A nice sized vanity was just outside the restroom. . The room also included a small fridge and microwave. The cost of the room was approximately $100 lower than brand-name hotels such as HI Express or Comfort Suites, but restaurants were very nearby in a nice shopping center and also at the wharf where you can enjoy seeing sea lions and otters.. I highly recommend The Monterey Surf Inn if you are looking for a hotel that is clean, comfortable, affordable, updated and convenient, without all the extra frills such as free breakfast. I would definitely stay here again and I’m pretty choosy.

Exactly as expected and the desk staff was very helpful. They directed me to several appropriate restaraunts and were very efficient and friendly during check in. Room was clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay again.

Air conditioning works really clean staff were also really nice, parking is alright kinda tight parking space, window on my room was broken luckily there were 2 windows and only the one on the outside was broken and it still worked. But overall very good experience would definitely would stay again!

The staff was great when checking in. Parking was easy, right in front of our room. The room was clean and very nice. The cost of the room was very inexpensive. The location of the hotel was a short walk to town. They had a great coffee /cappuccino machine that allows you to pick custom coffee drinks and it was free. Would definitely stay here again.
