My family packed into small, outdated motels like this one 60 years ago when I was a kid. Numerous beds, a living area, and a kitchen are all available at this hotel. The fact that this one hasnt undergone any renovations or proper cleaning since I was a kid brings to mind the drawback of this one. When you think of ragged and dirty the dishes in the kitchen are dirty. Although I am aware that the former residents were responsible, housekeeping should be on site to answer questions or address issues. Our feet stuck on the linoleum, and the carpet photo below shows a paper towel used to scrub up water on the kitchen floor. I wasnt prepared to spend my vacation with bugs and untidy toilets. Its difficult to keep a place clean near a beach, but when I tried to open a window to freshen the place, the dirt and sand were so thick on the windowill that I could barely touch it. The couch is not only stained, it is filthy as well. Before she would sit in it, my companion washed her armchair with towels. I was concerned about fire risk because the lights flickered and dimmed after turning on the air conditioners, and the numerous extension cords

We had a cottage and studio for our family at thanksgiving. Check in was simple and the staff was helpful. However, while the kitchen was well provided, the oven in the cottage needed to be upgraded and the decor could use one. However, we were able to prepare a full thanksgiving meal using the kitchens in both the cottage and the studio. Another issue was that the space heaters were provided in the cottage, but when the space heaters were all turned on on a chilly night, they blew the breakers. I also thought the electrical wiring required to be upgraded. Otherwise, we had a great time. The property is directly on the beach and within easy access to many attractions.

Ive stayed 3 times in the last year, but this time may be my last. Great beach access, great location in the middle of outer banks things to do and places to eat. Not highend, but nicely equipped kitchen, warm and comfortable neu in the late season, which is the only time I visited. I checked out on the last day of November, and after calling several times and then sending a letter, I have yet to receive any other response other than well let you know when we get a chance to look in our lost and found. There were very few other guests staying in the small row of cabins during my stay. Its a tiny property. However, after spending over $100 dollars to stay here, they are too busy or disinterested to call me back. Otherwise, they are lying. I guess I will never know because Ive received quite a royal brush off.

This place is not high end, so it does not appear to have been designed in the past. The location is great, the location is also close to the beach. Although the flooring was a bit dirty, in general, it was adequate for us. We were needing 2 bedrooms for our kids, and that was fine. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was that there was nowhere to rinse the sand off and that there was a nearby property that was hosting a rowdy and loud wedding reception.
