Right in the heart of Carmel by the sea. Property shows age but charming and location cannot be beat. Parking is limited.

The staff at the front desk was excellent. I came in there alone and I really enjoyed the experience. I had to leave very early in the morning and felt safe and honestly, this was just the cutest day. My room was adorable. Absolutely loved the old school vibes in this place, but it was updated enough and ckean clean and my bathroom was gorgeous. !

Lovely motel room - hot kettle in room allowed us to make provided coffee, tea, hot chocolate and oatmeal packets we packed for a quick breakfast. Well maintained and easy parking, check, access to redwoods and parks.

On the first night we were above the kitchen back entrance and at 4:30 we were awakened with the shuffling of dishes and racks, it was very noisy. We were fortunately able to move rooms for our second night there, the staff was amazing and understanding.

Wonderful little place - reminded us of being back in Rome. Will definitely stay again. Would recommend checking that you have extra rolls of toilet paper and knowing to ask the front desk for ice as there is not a mini0fridge for your wines and cheeses, nor an ice machine. And Il Fornaio is not worth going to when you have so many other options in Carmel. It's quite generic. But the rest is wonderful. Enjoy your stay!

A very cool property in an awesome city. The place was kind of like a maze when we first showed up but we quickly got the hang of it. Rooms have a vintage feel but were clean. Overall a really cool trip!!

The location is perfect - walkable to everything and just a couple of blocks from the beach. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had an ocean view room, which we loved listening to the waves at night with the window open. I only wish there was a coffee maker in the room rather than having to go out to the bakery downstairs to get coffee.

The Pine Inn is an older hotel. Great location to everything! The furnishings are dated but that is what makes the hotel so unique. Rooms/hotels are very clean with beautiful grounds that are so well kept. Amenities - it would have been nice if they had coffee for the guests. We had a very nice ocean view but note the street below can be very noisy at 6 am in the morning. There are no fans or air conditioning so we had the windows opened a lot. The restaurant at the hotel has a great happy hour and wonderful, friendly bartenders. We would stay again at the hotel for the location.

This is a very quaint hotel right in the center of beautiful downtown Carmel. It was so convenient to so many things and we enjoyed our stay. There are no elevators, so be prepared to carry your luggage up one or two flights of stairs. We felt it was worth it. Very nice hotel.
