The Red Rocker Inn is a classic. It is a Historic Building and is in great shape. The rooms are clean, beds comfy, bathroom very roomy. The location is superb.

Red Rocker Inn was ideal for our needs. The rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was very good and tasty. Keurig machines and plenty of coffee in the rooms. Plenty of free parking. Staff were attentive and helpful. We have family nearby, so it is ideal for larger gatherings. Never got a chance to try the restaurant for dinner, but by all accounts, it too is very good. We're lookin forward to our next stay.

Great location to walk a block to town and walk everywhere. The owners/hosts were so friendly, quiet location, relaxing to sit on the porch in red rockers watching the world go by. Delicious breakfast. Hated to leave.

The inn was so comfortable and charming! It's an older property with a lovely yard and parlors downstairs for hanging out, tv, or a puzzle provided. Easy parking in back. Katie was so kind to have fresh cookies for us after our long flight upon arrival. A note for guests - the linen and towel scent was fairly strong and industrial. The bath products have a fresh clean scent. I wish the laundry shared it or just were unscented. Excellent location. Take a stroll down a long block and be in the middle of everything. We had dinner at Trillium, at the Inn. Oh, so good! We enjoyed our steak and fried chicken - don't forget sides such as the corn ribs (a unique seasoning - not texmex, which was a nice change) and the bread service with the honey sesame rolls. It was such a relaxing, easy, delicious option.

Loved the porch and the rocking chairs and places in the yard to sit. And the walkability of the neighborhood.

Very quaint place to stay with a bakery attached. Town was within walking distance. I would highly recommend it.

This was our third stay at Red Rocker. It is always the loveliest place to visit, so easy to get to downtown and Violet could not be more helpful or kind. We will be back again!

We did not have any hot water the first day, thus no shower. Fixed the second day. Violet was a joy and very attentive.

We have stayed at the Red Rocker Inn several times before, the staff is always sweet and accomadating to whatever you need. We love going down for breakfast in the morning and enjoying the company of others if we wish. the fireplace is always going and its very cozy. you can walk just a couple of blocks and be in downtown black mountain. the restaurants are good and you have several varities.

Staff were very personable. Mike upgraded our room upon arrival. Violet could not do enough for us. She was also trying her hand at cooking breakfast — and it was exceptionally good.

My room was very cold during my entire stay. My second night I was given a space heater which helped some. Additionally, my room was not cleaned during my stay despite leaving the tag on the door requesting it. The food is okay but lacks a lot of flavor. The room was very cute but could do with some remodeling.
