In the 1970 s, it was a very good and convenient motel, i used to stay there often while working for nasa at the jpl. It is even better now. Congratulations to the management.

We had a great time during our four nights at saga, and it was a lovely, laidback place with helpful and kind customer service at the front desk. The hotel was in a great location for us to explore the city and nearby attractions, and it was very quiet. Our room was spotless, equipped with a fridge and amenities, and the beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring that we both had a great nights sleep and were eager to sleep in. Every morning before we left, their complimentary continental breakfast was ideal for us. Additionally, we appreciated the free laundry facilities onsite because we could wash and dry our clothes before leaving the following day. We had a great time during our time at saga and will definitely return!.

I have reviewed the saga before. This is for my most recent stay at the saga. I stayed at the saga for 3 nights and visited the huntington gardens, the Norton Simon art museum, and several nearby restaurants. My fivestar review is for the saga compared to others in the budget category - dont expect the Ritz. But the saga really surpasses its category in terms of comfort, cleanliness, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. And if youre lucky, you might see a flock of parrots hanging around. Breakfast is served in the lobby and is continental and usually includes tea and coffee, two or three types of fruit, yogurt, instant oatmeal, minimuffins, croissants, raisin bread, and bagels, with various spreads. Its also very nice in hot weather. Teddys tacos is right next door, northern cafe is a chinese restaurant a few blocks west, zankou chicken is just a bit further west on the other side of the road, and for dessert, get a bubble puff at boba puff right next to the northern cafe. We ate at all of these and all my friends and i were enthusiastic i loved them all. And there are many other places nearby that i have yet to try.

I highly recommend the saga motor hotel because of its classic beauty and the kindness of the innkeepers and staff. I felt safe and comfortable during my entire visit. Absolutely lovely. Having grown up in the san angel valley, i was familiar with the local iconic landmark inn, but i had never stayed there. So when returning to pasadena from my adopted home in texas for a family Thanksgiving gathering, i chose the saga motor hotel because of its proximity to family, great walking and access to transit. The saga is charming and clean, and all the staff were very friendly and courteous. The grounds are well maintained, and the pool is sparkling. The free breakfast was simple fruit, pastries, yogurt, oatmeal, juice, coffee and tea, but just right to start the day. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and they have a direct v, an alarm clock, an iron and ironing board, a blow dryer, and a mini refrigerator, but no microwave. However, i was able to reheat food in the microwave in the breakfast area. The location has walkable access to fast food, small shops, ethnic food restaurants, and Starbucks. It is also on the bus line, which provides quick and direct access to major shopping and entertainment areas such as old town and south lake avenue. I had seen previous reviews that the elevator was not working. I requested a ground floor room because i was traveling with my 93 year old mother.

I stay here every year when i run the rose bowl half marathon. The rooms are a bit dated like me, but charming. Very clean, convenient parking and a nice lobby. It definitely reminds me of the 1960 s of california. Very nice and helpful staff. Quiet at night.

Is this a luxury 5 star hotel in a big city? No. But if is a nice historic motel in the heart of pasadena. Its surprisingly quiet. The rooms are old and have undergone renovations, but they are clean which is important. The staff has been very friendly which is a major plus. The continental breakfast is grab n go which i like on my schedule. There are small bags for your items. Overall, it was a good stay.

I stayed for several days and everything was very comfortable. To experience the true spirit of a city like pasadena there is nothing like staying in a traditional place like this. It is very central, very quiet at night, they serve you very well, parking is very secure, i stayed for several days and everything was very comfortable. Highly recommended si estas de paso o para el desfile de las rose.

I would definitely stay here again. If you havent stayed in an older hotel then you might find the experience eye opening. The decor and atmosphere take you back in time. The room key is an actual key. Our stay was pleasant and offered a nostalgic feeling i havent had in a long time. The property is quiet and clean.

A wellrun oldschool motel. We really liked our single bed room with a comfortable armchair. There is no coffee maker in the room, but the lobby has good coffee and a very nice selection of early breakfasts. A very nice alternative to cookie cutter chains.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would return there. It is situated in the heart of a large restaurant district, so there are plenty of really good food or fast food within walking distance, or for delivery. The staff was very friendly, and i had no issues with online booking or checking in. There is plenty of parking, the pool looked really nice, and the breakfast was ok. The room was clean, but the walls are thin, so you can hear people in the rooms around us. But no one was up late, so it wasnt a problem. I had a hard time getting warm water in the shower in the morning, but my wife had no problems after me. Maybe it was a user error.

This hotel is old! But its clean! It smells old when you walk in and thats probably the worst thing about it. The beds are very comfortable, the towels are soft, there is no mold in the shower and the staff are very friendly. Continental breakfast is basic bagels, cereal and muffins but everything is fresh. Its also in a great neighborhood! I would stay here again if i was in the area.

Excellent value, with plenty of parking and a small pool close to the city center. Breakfast is complimentary from 6 am to 9 am, with checkout at 12 pm. We arrived early in the morning on saturday at around 3 am and were quickly checked in. The room was spacious, but if you have a lot of luggage, the elevator is out, so if youre on the third floor, you might have to walk quite a bit up your alley, and the only way up is the staircase in the middle of the hotel. There are many food options nearby, including a boba milk tea shop.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, with many restaurants, and shops. The staff was so attentive, especially to the front desk employees who even worked in the housekeeping department and property management.

As a uk traveler, i adored my 5 nights at this motel in 1957. Great location, cool architecture, lovely pool, good breakfast, and wifi. It may appear a little antiquated internally, but its clean, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is excellent. When i visit the united states again, i will most certainly be returning.

Saga is excellent for its value. It is impeccably clean, reasonably priced, conveniently located, with friendly office staff, a delicious breakfast, and convenient parking. While it may not be the most unique or boutique hotel experience, it consistently checks the appropriate boxes for us when we are in pasadena.

Hotel tipe 50 an, tetapi lokasinya sangat strategis. Kamarnya tidak baru, tetapi nilainya sangat baik untuk uang. Ruang sarapannya tidak terlalu besar, tetapi banyak pilihan. Kolam renangnya adalah yang terbaik.

The location is good, the rooms are good size, and the staff are very nice. We came here last year for the cruel world festival and decided to come back. We are not disappointed, very retro style restaurant that serves breakfast in the morning.

Excellent position directly across the street from pcc. Quiet and has a pool outside. Very nice staff, had a sense of humor, and assisted us with a toothbrush we forgot. Breakfast was alright, oatmeal, fruit, bread, tea, and coffee. There are two doors in the firstfloor rooms, one to parking and one to the pool. Nice area and safe.

We found the saga motor hotel about a year ago. We were in pasadena, it was late, and we needed a place to stay. Instead of using our phones and asking through hotel apps, we drove down Colorado avenue and saw the saga neon sign and noticed the hotel looked very vintage, inviting, and quaint. We asked at the desk and were given a room by the pool at a good price. The room was spacious and clean and the continental breakfast was enjoyed by the poolside tables. Since the hotel was on a lot of road. I asked about the rose parade and learned that the rose parade went by and directly in front of the saga every year. A few months later i called the saga and made reservations for three days during the rose parade. When calling the hotel i got the impression it was run by family and they made me feel like part of the family. We returned for the rose parade and found the hotel in great condition with attention to detail. They had munchies available to us at most hours during our stay and the attention to guests during the parade kept the hotel organized and void of uninvited parade spectators. The hotel is like going back in time and we love it that way. The location is good with nice neighborhoods around it. The price of the saga for the rose parade was increased significantly but worth it because of its prime location and so much more. We will be back!.
