I was only here long enough to sleep, but it seemed like a very cozy room with a comfy bed. I had a conversation with my 'neighbor' out on the balcony, packed in, and out, and there was no hassle.

The setting is perfect if you’re looking for a place on a cliff near a desert river! After driving this place dozens of times on my way to Flagstaff, I decided to stay a night and was not disappointed. Nice staff and a diner on property made it so easy to stay.

This was a fun hotel to stay at along the San Juan River. The view was gorgeous. The rooms were clean, roomy and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the restaurant on the property. The staff was friendly. We would stay there again.

Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Cool room. Balcony looking out to the river. Cold AC. Good shower. Met the housekeeper when leaving. Super nice man. Parking right out front. Quiet.

Maps takes you right past the place but it’s easy to figure quickly. Very quaint location. Built right into the side of a mesa. Private property to the rear of lot that didn’t hamper us at all. Staff was very friendly especially considering our late arrival. Tight but comfortable room. Took a good while for the A/C unit to make a dent in the heat. Small but decent shower. Location was desolate but very convenient to the monuments in both directions. Extremely peaceful sitting up above the river. Restaurant on site that we did not get to try due to our schedule. Walked down a semi-rugged hill to River - beautiful and wild.

Atmospheric, adorable, and located within a few minutes of both Monument valley and Gooseneck state park. Room was very comfortable and the complementary coffee was great. Loved this place’s riverside locale and would definitely stay here again!

I can’t say enough about how awesome this place is! We have been on the road for a week from Chicago, tent camping. We were at Monument Valley and thought about the KOA there and decided against it, then when we saw it I was so glad I did! I would have forfeited my money at that place and moved on. I found this property on Expedia at a great cost and thought I’d take a chance. I later found out it was a town of 22 people and basically a “one horse town”. This place has a spectacular view of the San Juan River, the older lady in the cafe in the morning is the absolute sweetest person I have ever encountered, the office staff was kind, and while the room was basic it was clean and had a great feel to it. If you find yourself going through Mexican Hat in the evening and need a place to stay pick this place! I would stay here again and again.

Very unique place to stay. First floor units facing the San Juan River are my top choice especially if you are in a group. After dinner hanging out on the ledge of the river great place to mingle and share stories.

We had a huge room! #41. It seemed like the penthouse suite with it's huge bathroom. I'm not sure what I did to earn it, but I would stay again. It is truly a unique property built into the mountain. The restaurant offered unique dishes (we chose the Navajo taco) and despite not offering continental breakfast, their choices for breakfast were great and very reasonable!
