We absolutely loved our 1 night stay & wished we could have stayed longer. Jennifer & Nigel were the best hosts you could ever have. So welcoming, friendly & loved our little doggy. We were upgraded for free and the room was gorgeous & quirky. Breakfast was delicious & they even made some for our dog! Lovely area to sit out front & chat with other guests. So peaceful, tranquil & scenic, watching the peacocks, wild rabbits & Oliver the cat wondering about. Could not recommend this place enough!

We had a great 2 nights at the Shady Lady. The room was very Asian in red! The step down from the bed in the middle of the night is awkward. The owners are delightful to share the sunset and wine with. I loved watching the peacocks. And their 6a alarm wasn’t unbearable. If you are looking for something unusual this is the place for you.

Shady Lady bed & breakfast was lovely. A beautiful property set to an even more stunning mountain backdrop. I highly recommend the private cabin, the views were beautiful and the pool was such a bonus add. The staff (the owners) were so hospitable and helpful, and peacocks were gorgeous with their feathers up all around us. Look forward to returning here for the perfect little escape on our next roadtrip

We had a lot of fun and Nigel is lovely! So is everyone else! It’s a big and beautiful property with lots of animals (a lot of peacocks!) we loved the warm and homely breakfast as well! 10/10 highly recommended.

Nice that it is off the main highway. Couple who own and run the place are very nice, like visiting a favorite aunt and uncle. Had the suite with a heart shaped hot tub. Also it's pet friendly, so my cats can stay in room with us. Breakfast is a nice amenity. Peacocks grace the grounds.

We had a great time at the Shady Lady last night. Jennifer and Nigel are fantastic hosts and very personable. We had a campfire in the back and they joined us for an evening of laughs. Jennifer made a delicious breakfast. We would definitely recommend.

The owners are absolutely incredible! We knew we’d be arriving pretty late, so we gave them a call—and they truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was ready and that we could get in comfortably. Our room was perfectly prepared, and in the morning they served us a delicious breakfast. They even made sure our two corgis felt right at home with plenty of yummy treats, which was such a thoughtful touch! Even though our stay was short, it was so special, and we would highly recommend this place to anyone. The owners really make the experience unforgettable!

We had trouble finding the location and we're tired after a long day of driving. We didn't want to drive 32 miles back into Beatty for dinner. Since we had some oatmeal in our we asked Jennifer if we could just prepare that for dinner. She kindly prepared a plate of fresh fruit for each of us to have with our oatmeal. Breakfast the next morning was delicious! Definitely enjoyed our stay in this unique location!

Your property is a true oasis; everything from the interior design to the outdoor spaces is beautiful. You don't want to leave this place. I also particularly enjoyed the breakfast. Unfortunately, because I was on a cross-country motorcycle trip, I was only able to stay for one night. However, if I am ever in the region again, I will definitely choose to stay with you.

What a wonderful find. This place is about 30 miles from Beatty but well worth the drive. There are peacocks in the yard and two wonderful cats. Nigel and Jennifer are excellent hosts. The breakfast was wonderful, and the rooms were comfortable. I stayed in the main house and would stay there again. Highly recommend
