This is a brand new truly lovely resort. Large rooms with high ceilings, kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. bathroom was spa like and the decorating was beautiful. Located right on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.

I love the Shalimar. We had a partial view of the beach. Very clean with all that we needed. We stayed a while week and loved every minute. My favorite things about Shalimar is the towel exchange program and the walk out to the beach. It is one of the best shelling beaches. We will stay again

Beautiful, clean, modern beachfront property on Sanibel Island. We stayed in Room 108 (2 queens + full kitchen) and loved the large screened patio, comfortable beds, heated pool with ocean views, and easy beach access with amazing shelling. Free washer/dryer access was a nice bonus (bring your own detergent). Wristband keys were also a great touch. Parking can be tight, and there are stairs to access the office/rooms (small elevator available). No daily housekeeping — you exchange towels at the office. Overall, a peaceful and well-done property that we would absolutely return to.

The room was spotless and so well appointed!!! Hooks on the screened porch for towels and wet swimsuits, is a great example. The kitchen had everything I needed for simple meal prep. and I appreciated the keurig. The staff was friendly & helpful. The grounds felt safe for a solo traveler. The boardwalk and outdoor chairs made the gulf easily accessible! The individualized parking was so convenient & appreciated!! I absolutely recommend The Shalimar⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The accommodations were top notch. Very clean and comfortable. The garden was was in excellent condition. The pool was sparkling and warm. The beach was beautiful. Conveniently located to everything. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful

A/C was not on upon arrival after midnight. Where do you go without A/C on? We had difficult journey. Hot and lathered in sweat. After midnight. Took couple days to figure out how to open heavy sliding doors with broken wrist and the A/C we thought was broken. It should be on. With instructions next to the controls

Pool seating was not comfy. Very hard seats. The ocean view was partial but had a nice bridge. Hard to walk to the Gulf as no path.

Ocean was only slightly visible from a sliver on one side of the building directly in front of us. Room was good sized and had a full grit, range, and some dishes/cutlery, but was otherwise furnished adequately but not luxuriously. Could have used a couch or more comfortable chairs.
