Clean room, comfortable bed

Solo vacation trip. For the positives, bathroom looks to have been mostly remodeled. Other than the toilet and it's amenities, the bathroom looked clean. The lighting in the entire room was very good. As was the flooring. Now for the negatives. I'll leave that on the after-stay review.

the room wasn't as bad as the reviews stated. the only thing was hotels.com said I'll have ocean front but it was actually ocean view. not the worst case scenario given the total price of the room itself. the room wasn't dirty , it had an oven but no plates or silverware. the microwave is at front desk. check in went ok and the hotel seems like it's in a good location

The room smelled of mildew- floors had not been swept- staff was not rude but also not pleasant. No access to ice machine- no privacy - I won’t be back.

There areally only 6 channels on the tv if you plan on being in the room for a few hours at a time.

From the time we walked through the door the lady at the front desk seemed to have a very terrible attitude. We were there for a total of 3 days, no one ever asked us how we were doing, no one ever came to ask if we needed fresh towels toilet paper or anything. I have never stayed somewhere that you have to ask for fresh things. No microwave in the room. The shower barely trickled out any water and you were lucky if it was luke warm. They denied us our deposit because the towels were dirty but as I said no one ever brought fresh ones. The room door was supposed to stop itself from slamming but I guess the stopper was broke so I accidentally let it slam and the lady was very rude about it and wouldn't even hear me out or let me show her the problem. The whole staff seemed to not like white people at all as we would get devilish looks from them as we were coming and going. The TV had a weird line running right down the middle of the screen. I mean it was just over all bad. Terrible establishment with terrible people running it

There was a roach in the dresser and the floor was gross to even walk on and it just didnt look or feel clean at all. For the price it should of been better than what it was.

Pulling in we were skeptical. The place allows vacancy, parking lot was pretty empty (2 cars) walked in, left everything in the car bc we wanted to see the room first. Check in was very long and wasn't really greeted at all. Went up to the room, on the way the hallways smelled like weed. Getting in the room, the sliding door to the balcony was very hard to open, bottom and side of toilet was absolutely disgusting, and there was a cockroach beside it. The door that separated the sleeping area from the sitting area was broken, the stove was missing a burner, the microwave didn't fit on the counter bc of how small the kitchen was. Very old musty building in general and it seemed to attract a non family friendly crowd. South Myrtle in general seemed to be this way. PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND GET A NICE PLACE. We ended up in North Myrtle, Cherry Grove and it was day and night literally. Crowds and houses,hotels etc. We were never given a policy but was told that we couldn't get a refund for the first 24hrs. We got the damage deposit back a 3 out of the 4 days of the resort fee back. But no refund on the room itself. U have to rent dishes, pots and pans, and extra towels, blanets, pillows.

The pictures were nicer than the actual room, the checkin was extremely slow. We found bugs and hair in our rooms. We did not have a full size fridge. It was extremely humid. The tv in the lobby was broken. The patio doors were messed up. There were not sheets for the sofa bed. You had to rent everything. We checked out 20 mins after checking in and that was very slow too. Still waiting on our refund.

When checking in the room was not the one I wanted and the air was not on at all. Then sent to another room that had roaches and was not cleaned and air conditioning was not working properly. Then tried to send me to another room that had no couch cover on it. I already had anxiety from the the second one I was not staying after the third one. BEWARE SHE HAS A NO REFUND POLICY FOR A REASON!!!!!

The hotel is rundown and the room door did not lock. Clerk refused to move me to another room with a locking door. Had to get another hotel. Did not stay and waiting on refund.
