This was a great stay. We had the large family style room which was perfect for us. The pool was a fun to come back to and relax after a day of site seeing especially for the kids. I appreciated the coffee in the office which made a decent mocha latte each morning. The only negative was there was some remodeling happening which started early in the morning making it difficult to sleep in if you were a light sleeper.

My wife loves Carmel and Monterey. We used to get a high-end room in Carmel, but then decided to put our money into the experience and not just the room. On the recommendation of our daughter, we tried the Stargazer. Very reasonably priced, and the most important thing is that the beds are super-comfortable. That's important for old farts like us. My wife loves the pool and the hot tub. It's centrally located, and within easy reach of pretty much everything on the peninsula. That's our history. As for the details of my most recent stay, it was top-notch as usual. Isabel, the housekeeper, did a quick but thorough job on the room every single day of my three-day stay, making the bed, removing trash, etc. And the room smelled nice, too. I also want to give due credit to Jennifer, the front-desk clerk, for putting me on the ground floor when I asked. I often bring my e-bike to Monterey, as I like to ride the 17-Mile Drive to Carmel and back, starting at Dennis the Menace park, and on down the bike trail past Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row, Pacific Grove, and Asilomar. Trying to lug a heavy e-bike up stairs would be a pain, but the Stargazer staff makes things easy and friendly. We've stayed here at least a dozen times, and have no plans to change. Thank you!

Great place to stay. The check-in situation is not ideal, but overall a great experience. Clean rooms that are updated.

No gym on the property but pool looked nice. Check in was super easy, virtual staff was helpful for buying water in the lobby, room was very clean! Location was about a 15 minute walk to downtown and there’s a trolley not too far. Would book again!

The room had a missing hdmi cord that wasn’t making the channels go through. I called front desk and her English was poor and I wasn’t able to get help :(

Buona struttura per chi è di passaggio come noi. Per passare una o due notti va benissimo, vicina a Monterey e a Carmel, luoghi incantevoli

Rooms clean and comfy with some nice updates to older motel. We liked the keyless entry and easy communication through text. Responded quickly! Hot tub was very very nice but closes at 9pm. Grounds were beautifully kept! We would stay again for the price and location.
