The Black Hawk is a very cool, super vintage hotel that is beautifully maintained. It’s like stepping back in time except it’s functional in today’s world. Great bar and pastries in the morning. We’ve already booked our room on the way to Sioux Falls and back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Black Hawk Hotel in Cedar Falls. The historic inn is full of charm and character, making it a memorable place to stay right in the heart of town. Despite being in the heart of town, I had a wonderfully quiet night’s sleep and felt completely relaxed. The best part of the experience was the people. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made me feel right at home. The complimentary breakfast pastries were a delightful treat each morning and a perfect way to start the day. If you’re looking for a charming, historic hotel with exceptional hospitality, I highly recommend the Black Hawk Hotel.

The staff was amazing - especially Kay. They were extremely helpful. The hotel is dated but has a rich history. I enjoyed taking a step back in time. I would definitely stay there again.

very interesting old hotel that is well kept up. excellent large room with fridge and tub with jets. only issue breakfast which was just a big cinnamon roll with coffee.

This place was wonderful! We stayed two nights and loved it. The breakfast is pretty basic and there is no parking on-site which makes loading and unloading a bit difficult. But great location and cool building. The bar is fun as well.

Cedar Falls is a surprisingly robust community and the Blackhawk Hotel is a hidden gem! The staff is engaging and generous and go the extra mile to make sure you’re taken care of and heard. This is an historic inn, so the premises are burnished with years of use, which I think just adds to its charm. Main Street is dotted with several unique eating, drinking and shopping establishments and our nightcap at the Bar Winslow in the hotel was the perfect spot for our too-short stay in Cedar Falls.

The building itself was really neat! The rooms were well appointed - it was obvious you weren’t staying in a modern hotel though. It was comfortable, clean, and quiet! And it was really nice being rap close to everything!
