I have been staying at the Driftwood since I was a little girl, I’m 63 now. It is a older motel and could use a little bit of updating in the rooms, but everything is clean. The staff is amazing. Expedia contacted me on the second day of my stay and ask some specific questions One being about the bed and the bed in our room was not very good and I just mentioned it and in a few hours they had a new mattress in our room. Everyone is always so very nice and I love that It’s not a huge high-rise that you have to take an elevator to the beach. I love being able to park right in front of your door and then walk out your back door and be right there at the pool and the beach no elevators I can remember them having watermelon when I was a kid and they still are serving watermelon after all these years. It’s the little extras that they do that keeps us coming back. I love that it’s so close to the fishing pier and Pier Park my husband gets up early and goes and fish off the pier and I lay in the sun, and then we walked to Pier Park in the afternoons for dinner and ride the Ferris wheel and it’s close enough to walk to the shopping center right behind the Ferris wheel. One night we even walked to Walmart. We always park our car when we get there and don’t get in it again until we leave. Can’t wait till next time.

Absolutely loved this place. It was clean, well-maintained, and located in a beautiful area right next to the ocean. Everything about the stay was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway

I loved sitting on my balcony looking at the beach/ocean. My room was clean and spacious, the staff was friendly and helpful. Roger who was in charge of the beach chairs was there very early and stayed late into the afternoon. I enjoyed some lunches at the Tiki bar. I liked the location - close to Pier Park and Dog Beach.

I can’t count how many times we’ve stayed at the Driftwood, but we will be repeat guests for as long as they’re there. This place is everything you want in a relaxed family atmosphere. I LOVE the Driftwood so so much!!
