A quaint home that wax turned into a hotel.

The hotel was old but well maintained. Breakfast was limited in choice but was fine. We stayed in April, on the 2nd floor and it was quite warm. There was no air conditioner in the room which would have helped to cool the room down. We opened the windows. There is no elevator on premises and if mobility is an issue you will need to book a room on the first floor. It might be a little noisy because 3 of the rooms are near where breakfast is served and where guests may gather in the evening. Only complaint was that there is no early check in available. Check in time is 4:00 PM and they are strict about this. I believe the reason for this is that they have limited staff available and they are only on premises at certain times of the day. The location is convenient if you are visiting family at The Mariner which is an independent/assisted living facility.

TMH, a boutique hotel, has delicious fresh fruit cups at breakfast along with yogurt, cereal, and baked goods. Simple, yet something for everyone. The high ceilings added to the experience, as did the friendly staff.

Loved the ambience, the quietude, the plethora of books in our room, the landscaping and the breakfast that consisted of actual fruit, yoghurt and pastries. Responsive and friendly staff. Would very definitely recommend. A fine, old New England Villa.

I appreciated the service we received and loved the suite. My suggestion: pay a little bit more for more room, more amenities (microwave, coffee maker, water heater, sink), a pull out couch. It is always nice to have a separate room. And it is quiet. Location is not far from the historical district and near the sanctuary and a view of Marblehead that you would not see elsewhere.

The entire experience was like a bed and breakfast, it was great, the host Debbie made us feel very welcome. The rooms were spotless, warm, comfy, and was more welcoming than a hotel, I will definitely be returning soon.
