I liked being right in the middle of all the shops and attractions. Everything was within walking distance. If I stay again, I will bring a folding wagon to transport my luggage over the brick sidewalks from the parking to the hotel.

I absolutely loved my stay here. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, helped me check into my room early, and were ready to answer any questions I had. The Roof bar at the top is really the cherry on top. I extended my stay two extra nights because I loved it so much!

This property is in the perfect location. It is on the walking path where most of the shopping is located. Area attractions are very close as is the water. The hotel itself was very clean and room was very spacious.

If you want to stay in the heart of the attractions, this is the place to be. Room was very clean. However, one thing to keep in mind if you stay at this hotel, is that there is basically no amenities. They do have a filtered water system that is located on each floor which was good to fill water bottles before heading out. They do have a restaurant on the roof but we chose to eat at local establishments. There is no onsite parking but there is parking close enough at the train station ($5.00 per day as of time of this review) that you can walk to the hotel in like five minutes. There is another one closer but was a little more expensive at $1.50 per peak hours. We chose the train station since we did not need the car during our three day stay. The hotel is very close to most places that you are coming to Salem for. If I visit Salem again, I would definitely try to book at The Salem Hotel. One thing to keep in mind is that if you go during peak season, the price will be very high, assuming there is room availability.

Wonderful stay. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by two wonderful people behind the counter. Greeted warmly and very attentive. The room was amazing and big. Great stay and would highly recommend for a family. Location is right in the middle of everything you need to walk too.
