The property is clean, modern and well equipped in terms of meeting facilities, gym and centrally located within walking distance to nice restaurants, bars and local attractions. The breakfast served is nice, ambience is good and I really enjoyed the nice turn over service at night with fresh coffee and cookies

I went on a girls trip, so we were excited to explore Charleston. The hotel was VERY clean and the staff was exceptional. The 4-5pm rooftop happy hour was beautiful... great live music, snacks and drinks. The lobby happy hour etc was also great. We found the whole experience exceeded our expectations and I would definitely return!

Lovely spot, great service, good breakfast and a nice room. The rooftop bar was closed one night for an event and it was too windy the next night, so unfortunately didn’t experience it. Good location. The only thing we could comment on is that pillows are too fluffy - not for side sleepers. Would definitely return.

This was by far the best place to stay. Great location and within walking distance of everything. Hotel is quiet , secluded, and clean with great amenities and friendly staff. Free breakfast , complimentary refreshments and snacks are definite pluses. Daily happy hour on the rooftop lounge is charming. Will definitely come back here.

Exceptional hotel! A wonderfully comfy bed, great bathroom and toiletries. Very nice sized room, great location, and awesome terrace— just wished it had food service or drinks up there without having to call it up. The downside - breakfast was mediocre and all our cappuccinos were terrible. The service was really great. Overall, highly recommend this hotel!

My wife and I stayed at The Loutrel for our anniversary, and honestly, it's hard to find anything to complain about. This place just gets it right. From the minute we pulled up, the staff made us feel like we were welcome, not in that rehearsed, corporate hospitality kind of way, but genuinely warm. Special shoutout to Carl the valet, who was a standout from start to finish. He took great care of the car, but what really made an impression was that he greeted us by name every single time we came back in, and had some genuinely great recommendations for getting around Charleston. Little things like that stick with you. The room was spacious and well done, the kind of space where you walk in and just go "okay, yeah, this is it." Comfortable, beautiful, nothing to nitpick. The rooftop is worth your time. It's big, has a great vibe, and is the kind of spot where you sit down for one drink and end up staying a while. No complaints there. Location-wise, you really can't do better in Charleston. We were walking distance from great food, great bars, and some of the most beautiful streets in the South. We barely touched the car after Carl parked it. If you're heading to Charleston for an anniversary, a birthday, or really any special occasion, and especially if you're going as a couple, The Loutrel is the move. We'll be back.

Clean room and really friendly staff! I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again in the future. If I had to mention one downside, it would be the breakfast. There weren’t many options, but overall it was still okay.

This was our first stay at the Loutrel and it exceeded our expectations. The lobby and bar area are beautiful. We enjoyed a full complementary breakfast with delicious bacon and eggs. They also had a happy hour on the rooftop. Great views. Our room was quiet and so comfortable. Great location. We will be back.
