My husband, adult daughter, and I had a double double room. Since our reservation was for 10 days, the hotel put us on the 14th floor. Stunning views of Manhattan! We were awed by the sunrises and sunsets. Tickled that the Empire State and a building I don’t know the name of showed up in Knicks colors (this was during the playoffs). The hotel is perfectly situated in the Lower East Side. Lots of good eateries. Easy walking distance to the Delancey/Essex and Grand St. MTA stations. The only drawback was that, with so many rooms to clean, housekeeping often didn’t get to our room until later in the day. It was okay, we waited in the lobby or nearby bar until they were finished. The hand wash and body lotion smell amazing!

I had an amazing stay at The Merchant LES Hotel in New York. I truly made use of all the facilities during my visit, including the coffee shop, restaurant, and rooftop bar, and everything exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was modern, elegant, and welcoming. One of the biggest surprises was how spacious the room was, especially for NYC. The room was beautifully designed, modern, spotless, and extremely comfortable. What made the experience even better was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful from check-in to check-out. They really made me feel welcomed and taken care of. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York.

Best NY hotel experience we've had. Location was fantastic. Staff were terrific. Only wish there were drawers or lower shelves for clothing storage. Also more hooks in the bathroom.

Loved the rooms—cool decor, great water pressure, comfy bed and giant windows with bed facing beautiful view. Cafe and restaurant on site plus rooftop bar! Great location in the heart of the LES next to bars, restaurants and a Photo Booth museum!😃 Not as crazy busy as Times Square. Close to subway! 🚊 Great pricing!

I really enjoyed my experience at the Merchant Hotel. The room was super clean and well appointed. The shampoo and conditioner were fancy and smelled great. The room came with an espresso maker which is nice for some people, but I would have preferred a coffee maker. The location is great. Lots of restaurants and shops around and it was easy to get to the subway. There was one person at the front desk that was cheerful. The others weren't rude but just seemed indifferent. I'm from the South so I like a little chitty chat - I'm assuming this was just a New York way of life kind of thing.

I did a lot of research to find the perfect hotel our first two nights in NYC, and I think this was exactly what we wanted. Mostly for the view from our room. It was beyond amazing. The room was also clean and modern. Bed was comfy. It felt safe and wifi worked. Bathroom and shower were great. Location was easily walkable to the subway. They stored our luggage so that was a plus since we arrived in the morning but had to wait til 4pm for check in. I'm not sure about the other rooms, but if their prices don't get too crazy get the superior corner city view room, it was spectacular, that's why I stayed here for that room. Loved it and so glad I found this hotel out of the zillions in Manhattan. We didn't want to check out of that room. I'm letting the secret out on this gem. Hopefully it doesn't get more exorbitant than it already is as I'll be back one day if stays affordable. Get that room, it's epic!
