Had a really enjoyable stay. It’s a kind of 50/60s highway hotel setup with the hotel built around an inner courtyard. Very retro. There is a pool. Rooms are basic but nice. The staff are all very nice. The area leaves something to be desired, full of homeless people and junkies. But it’s the tenderloin! I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again

I had such an amazing stay at the Phoenix Hotel this weekend! As someone who was born and raised in San Francisco, I can’t believe I never knew about this hidden gem. I’ve definitely been missing out! The atmosphere was incredible — such a fun, unique, and welcoming vibe from the moment I walked in. The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Declan (I believe that was his name). He was super down to earth, had great energy, and provided amazing customer service that made the experience even better. The room was great, clean, and comfortable. Overall, I absolutely loved my stay and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

We arrived to find an easy parking place and a friendly staff. Upon entering the courtyard, we were greeted with a heated pool of 87 degrees and beautiful mature magnolias trees, palms, etc. There is plenty of seating and the building itself is super cute with artistic flourishes. The rooms are simple, no fridge or microwave, but plenty of ice in the ice machine, nice high beam ceilings, giant windows and very stylish and clean. My fave is the 24 hour tea and coffee in the lobby, the pool open until midnight, donuts in the morning, and the nicest, most helpful hotel staff you could hope for.

I love staying here. It is my go to spot for San Francisco. The pool is awesome, there are literally dozens of restaurants or more to choose from within walking/ Lyft distance. Staff are always helpful, and friendly. On site parking. Truly a gem .

Antes de llegar al lugar, tuve una muy mala experiencia con otro lugar, asi que cuando llegue al lugar el recepcionista fue muy amable, eso me dio tranquilidad después de la experiencia que tuve en el otro lugar y quiero dar las gracias, porque el lugar estaba muy bonito, limpio agradable y el trato fue muy placentero, recomiendo este lugar 100 %.

The hotel was recently sold and under new owners. It was like taking a walk back to the 50's -70's..it was frequented by rock and roll bands. It shows alot of history. The beds are very comfortable and the room was clean and smelled good. Even though it is located on a busy street it was quite.

So glad this iconic spot is still open. The Phoenix Hotel and all their staff deserve every single good thing in the world happen to them. The TV in the room didn’t work but honestly I don’t even care cause this place just makes you feel at home.

The front desk people are *so* nice; such excellent friendly service and chill vibe. I loved the hotel and the styling, so perfect. The only complaint is the walls are very thin and there was some kind of pretty loud domestic dispute at 1am on the room next to me. I would’ve been way more annoyed, but I enjoyed the eavesdropping entertainment. Pretty sure that couple broke up for good lol. Anyway, I will stay here again for sure! Also feels very safe
