This is a nice hotel. When getting 2 beds the rooms are more spacious. Very easy access to everything I wanted to do. We walked a lot but we also took the subway and the bus.

Last minute booking of the 2-bedroom suite with terrace, turned out to be an excellent and spacious accommodation with terrific staff. The included breakfasts were robust and helped make the booking a better value. You can’t beat the views from the room’s terrace. This worked out really well for our family to explore Manhattan from the Grand Central station area.

Excellent location in midtown in order to travel north or south of the manhattan. The rooms were large and comfortable, but the lighting in the room was very dim. We sent a note to the manager but there was no response. The only thing that was not good was charging the resort fee which was about $50 a day for amenities that most people in the hotel do not use. Restaurant off the lobby for breakfast and dinner was convenient and the staff were very attentive. However the breakfast was expensive ( $14- $18 for omelette / eggs or yogurt ) and it had a limited menu. We ended up going to various places on Madison which was half the price - eg. Pret n manger. We would stay again.

The terrace suite is spacious, and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The greeting staff at the entrance was so polite and cheerful. The rooftop lounge is amazing. I highly recommend if you are traveling However, when we requested an hour late checkout, the front desk staff were neither helpful nor sincere. That was the only bad experience we had before checking out.

Staff was really nice. Rooms were spacier that what you're used to in Manhattan. We were not facing the street so it was really quiet, except when people were talking in the hallway (you can hear everything through the door). Furnitures could be updated. Bed was really comfy though.

We have chosen the Shelborne Sonesta for 15+ years, back when it was the Affinia and the Rare bar was a popular hangout! We did not make it to the rooftop this year, but the reopening and expansion was very nice the last time we visited. Some of the rooms are a little dated, but the location in midtown/Murray Hill and the welcoming staff, makes this an easy choice for return trips. See you next year!

Loved large rooms with great views and nice beds … the staff was helpful and so friendly we loved the rooftop bar . It was stunning ! Such a great hotel and a nice lobby too ! So great and great location! Will stay again for sure !

This is a great hotel. The location is perfect. Very close to Grand Central Station and public transportation. It is clean and well maintained. The rooms are a nice size for NYC.

We had a very enjoyable 9 night stay here. The staff were both friendly and efficient and the room we had was as advertised, perfectly presented and cleaned every day to a high standard with in room coffee fully replenished. The hotel has a rooftop bar/restaurant and I would recommend trying it out as the views and atmosphere were terrific. Best of all is the hotel location in Murray Hill which is a quiet neighbourhood but with interesting bars and diners within a few minutes walk (try The Junction Bar and the Murray Hill Diner). It's an easy 6/7 minute walk to Grand Central Station with its excellent transport options including trains to JFK with one change at Jamaica. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back!

Everything was great from checking in and check out. The room was very clean and just about an eight minute walk to Times Square. I like that it had an attached restaurant which we did get a chance to have a late lunch the food was great !
