We loved everything about this place. It is a small room but so well designed it’s perfect for two people. My husband enjoyed speaking with the owner - he was very accommodating and attentive. Great place - would recommend to anyone - we will return if in the area again.

This property is a hidden gem and you can tell it's a labour of love for the amazing owners. We stayed for 3 nights while driving around Lake Michigan and although one of the longer stays of the trip it wasn't long enough. The owners are wonderful, the couldn't be more helpful. We arrived early, they looked after our bags so we could drive in for the Cherry Festival in town, they even put our stupidly heavy bags in our upstairs room which they absolutely didn't need to do. Each and every interaction we had with them was great. The room itself was great, very comfortable, very safe. They had an amenities closet should we have needed anything and we slept really well, The property is exceptionally well maintained, the rooms beautifully decorated, it's kind of like the best of a Route 66 motel combined with the vibe of a boutique hotel. It's not a new building so don't expect 2020's style, flawless finishes, but it has, as I said, been immaculately remodelled and taken care of. I have absolutely no doubts that if we'd encountered a problem, the owners would have taken care of it. We loved the area so will surely be back sometime soon and this will be where we stay

The owners pay attention to the details! This renovated 1957 motel is a gem, filled with delightful retro touches and a comfy bed. Located close to town, we borrowed the bikes to get to Front St. shopping and enjoyed the neighborhood route. The owner recommended dinner at the Farm Club and Stella’s—both were exceptional!

I absolutely loved the look and layout of the room. It felt warm, cozy, and truly homey the moment we walked in. The thoughtful design made it a comfortable place to relax after a long day. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the Sierra Motel to anyone looking for a clean, inviting place to stay.

This is an adorable fun mid-century modern boutique hotel! We were just here for one night but we will be back. The staff was so nice and when we were running really late for check in they texted our room number and key code! We will be back!

Das schönste Motel, was ich je in den USA hatte. Der Art-Deco Stil war sehr schön. Die Zimmer groß, ganz sauber und ohne künstliche Düfte, man konnte die Fenster öffnen - perfekt. Es war mit so vielen kleinen Details eingerichtet, wirklich sehr schön und absolut empfehlenswert. Hilfe an der Rezeption von dem jungen Ehepaar war super nett. Alles war ungezwungen und es gab alles, was man brauchte. Einzig die Straße war teilweise sehr laut, da eine der Hauptverkehrsstraßen. Aber nachts war nichts los, nur früh zum Berufsverkehr kamen vor allem die Laster sehr laut. Das ist schade, kann aber das Motel nichts dafür. Ansonsten zu 100 Prozent weiterzuempfehlen. Auch Traverse City selbst ist ganz nett. Ich hatte mir ein Fahrrad geliehen; es gibt mehrere schöne Radwege. Einfach mal ausprobieren.

Conveniently located to many dining options. We were able to reach most of our intended destinations within a 10 minute drive. Our room was extremely clean, and well maintained. We would definitely consider another stay.
