Excelent staff very clean rooms and the property felt very safe which is a plus, id reccomend the motel to all who like great staff great grounds and a safe invironment .when in Monterey ca and in the market for a room drop in at Sevensons motel.

We booked last minute for our two night stay in Monterey and the staff was extremely nice. It was in the PERFECT location to explore Monterey and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

This was such a pleasant surprise for the price! Rooms have been updated nicely and are very well maintained. I especially loved the individual flexible book lights built onto the headboard, and the nice walk in shower! The location is also ideal, walking distance to tons of great food, Traders Joes for essentials and other downtown highlights. A free trolley runs in the summer months and picks up right near the hotel. The only cons I’d be point out are there is limited parking- not enough for everyone staying there when full so some might need to use street parking. And the outward facing rooms have poor soundproofing, which made it difficult to sleep at times. Overall for the price point I would happily stay here any time!

We had a great two night stay at the Stevenson. It was affordable, centrally located (and walkable to the beach, eateries, etc.), and clean. Parking is free and the employees are friendly.

We had a great stay here. Parking for check-in was tricky, so the attendant that was cleaning the grounds moved her car so we could park there. The front desk clerk was amazingly helpful and could not have be nicer. She gave me clear directions and ideas of what we should do. We walked or used the free trolly everywhere after we parked, so the location was convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two-night stay at the Stevenson Monterey. I was fortunate to have a quiet corner room on the third floor, which turned out to be the perfect place to relax after long days of exploring. The location was one of the biggest highlights. I didn't get in my car to drive somewhere at all during my stay. Alta Bakery, Ad Astra Bread Co., Trader Joe's, and several excellent restaurants were all within easy walking distance. I also enjoyed multiple walks to the pier, the beach, and Pacific Grove throughout the weekend. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which allowed me to get a little work done after my morning walks before heading back out to explore. The hotel provided a great balance of comfort, convenience, and tranquility. Overall, it was the perfect home base for my solo long weekend in Monterey. I would absolutely stay here again and look forward to returning.

Excellent overall. Parking in under ground garage a bit of a challenge. Within walking distance of main downtown attractions. Very close excellent morning breakfast coffee place.

This stay is my favorite in Monterey. It's walking distance to the wharf and to Alvarado St which is a huge plus for me. Parking downtown can be a hassle, so staying so close is ideal.

The motel is old and basic but the rooms are very clean, the shower had adequate water pressure, friendly staff, coffee and water in the office, towels were good and walkable to downtown and wharf. Parking is safe even on the street. The only thing is elevator is a little musty but that’s minor. Comfortable stay and I really did not hear the other tenants in the rooms , so it was nice and peaceful.
