We come to San Diego every 3 - 5 years and always stay at Wayfarer (formerly Blue something). We love it. We didn't get breakfast, though. We loved our clean room, our balcony and your fabulous staff. See you in 3 - 5 years. We wish it wasn't so very expensive, of course.

My wife and I have stayed at this property several times and we've always been happy with the room. The room is very clean and comfortable. AC is extremely strong and powerful, which really helps bring down the humidity in the night. Shower gets hot quickly. Staff is very accessible and can be reached via text as well. Parking is in a covered garage (provided there is space). The oceanfront rooms have also been redone and there is no more floor-to-ceiling mirror, which is a huge improvement. The fridge also holds quite a bit of food/drinks. A couple of quirks that could boost the room even more positively - 1. Ice is only available on the first floor, so you will need to make your trip down the elevator to get to it (if you were on the third floor like me). It would be nice to have an ice machine on every floor. That said, the north side ice machine actually has a water dispenser, which is a nice perk of being on the north side. 2. Shower - would be nice to have a detachable wand attachment for more thorough cleaning while showering. 3. Additional bath towels on check in would be nice. You are given three large bath towels, but for my wife, she will often need an additional towel for her hair and so we often need to ask for additional towels on check in. Having 4-5 large bath towels would be good here. Overall though, really like the hotel and would stay here again.

I try to go to Pacific Beach every year. I have stayed at the Capri twice, Pacific Terrace, Ocean Park Inn and they Wayfarer has been my favorite. I will be staying there again.

I surprised my husband for his birthday on the stay at the Wayfarer and he loved it. The staff at check-in were lovely. They found out it was his birthday and comped us all rentals for a day which we took advantage of. We got checked in early and got a room on top floor with partial view to ocean and it was gorgeous. We slept with the patio doors open all nights and were soothed to sleep with the sounds of the ocean. The property was perfect and we definitely want to bring our girls back to take advantage of the pool.

The Wayfayer is such a great place to stay. It’s on the beach. You walk right outside and you’re on the boardwalk. It’s close to so many food options and it’s a wonderful place to stay. My sunshine at the desk this afternoon is always so warm and welcoming. She remembers me whenever she’s working. I can’t remember her name but she’s the sunshine working morning shift through this afternoon. Her energy is so positive and welcoming.

Location, location location, right on the beach on the boardwalk close to dining and shopping. Amenities is very good. Hot tub heated pool got a room with a partial ocean view. It’s much better if your room is pointed toward the interior where the pool and hot tub are I’ve done a lot of pricing in comparison the hotel is reasonably priced for the area. They are some great helpful people who are there wish I had gotten her name but she’s been at the desk last two times we visited so helpful and personality plus

Amazing location. Everything is walkable, but if you need to drive somewhere all the things in San Diego are close. Beach, restaurants and things to do all steps from your room.
