This gorgeous manor has been lovingly preserved and refurbished by Jean and Mike, who have decided to share it with a few lucky guests. This is a wonderful vacation thanks to its traditional decor and fashionable amenities. They gave me numerous recommendations for restaurants and wineries, and they also supplied a ton of books about the neighborhood to satisfy my new passion for seeing waterfalls. The brunches were amazing. Just a few minutes later, I noticed Jean picking up the vegetables that ultimately made up our meal. These brunches were just as good or better than any fine dining establishment. We will undoubtedly return. I would like to stay in the suite where Teddy Rousevelt stayed when he was trying to convince the then proprietor to run for the New York state assembly the next time.

In July, my companion and I spent a week at Tillinghast Manor. Jean and Mike were welcoming and accommodating, providing activity recommendations, letting us keep our bikes in their garage, and adjusting the breakfast options to our liking. Our room was lovely, and the entire house was spotless. Breakfast could be described in more words. It was delicious, my goodness! Because there was so much food, to be fair, it was more like brunch, and I don't think we had lunch at all the entire week. A choice of sweet and savory options was provided each day. I have yet to imagine a parfait that tastes as good as theirs, but I cannot figure out how to make one at all delectable. The location was ideal, situated close to many attractions. Ice cream, pizza, historical buildings, and other amenities are all within walking distance. Ive stayed in 30 hotels, and this one fared above them all. We heartily suggest it.

A warm, welcoming, lovely be in the void in New York City, is Tillinghast Manor. The proprietors, mike and jean, go out of their way to make your visit pleasant. They work very hard to tailor your visit to your interests, offering suggestions for several activities. The house's design and restoration are beautiful, and it's interesting to learn the inn's history. The breakfasts are delicious and sufficient for hours of fun on your travels. You can also find useful things to make your stay luxury. There are robes, slippers, snacks, drinks, and baskets of essential items. We've returned several times and intend to do so in the future. We leave the place feeling pampered and at ease every time we visit.

We've visited a number of places over the years, but this one is our favorite. There is plenty of parking space in the parking lot, and the stunning Victorian residence has a wide selection of great rooms to suit your needs. We were impressed with everything and look forward to our next visit to Tillinghast Manor. The proprietors, mike and jean, were excellent and gave us helpful recommendations for things to do in the area while we were there. The elizabeth room we selected was nicely furnished and had plenty of space to unwind. The brunch cuisine is now the best part. Simply the best I have had, with generous portions and a wide variety each morning. While the weather outside was cold and humid during our three-day stay, the inside was cozy and welcoming.

Excellent owner-hosts. We have never been treated better by anyone else. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Jean and Mike gave us a ton of useful advice on hiking, dining, and wine tasting. They followed our breakfast preferences and prepared our favorites for a farewell breakfast. Very nice historic mansion with tidy, roomy rooms. The bed was so comfortable that it felt like sleeping on a cloud. Air conditioning that is effective and quiet. Excellent breakfast breakfast. Every morning we had a variety of savory and sweet food items such as omelets, frittatas, strata, crepes, yogurt granola parfaits, fruit tarts, smoothies, so we could take smoothies on our hikes and later add some sweet snacks for tea. When we returned from our hikes in the evening, we were also welcomed to a surprise of fresh berries, cheese, and even a bottle of wine. This location deserves two stars.
