There is no free parking. They’ll tell you that you can “park for free daily for $62”. Both the valet and the desk attendant said the same thing. Parking is permit all to the west ($250 fine) and metered everywhere. Best bet is to park in the lot a few blocks north. Be careful there if you park overnight to not park in a 3 hour spot. It’s a nice walk to and from the hotel - not too far at all. I stayed for 4 days and probably only spent $100 total parking there. Other than that, the hotel is nice. Nothing to write home about. Feels a little old and outdated but certainly does the trick and hard to beat the location.

I stay at The Viceroy quite often and love the location and the hotel itself - rooms are very nice and the gym is perfect with Peloton bikes included. Staff are very friendly and professional! Restaurant and bar is good. My only gripe is with the $70 overnight parking fee and the cars are parked outside! I know all parking in Santa Monica is expensive but it still irks me! Overall I’d highly recommend The Viceroy!

Amazing ocean view, staff was excellent, rooms were comfortable and clean. Valet Parking made parking easy. Amenities are great! Family friendly. Thank you so much we definitely will be back.

Hotel was nicely appointed and I enjoyed the vibe with bright colors and a mid century modern feel. Food was good. Valet parking only but the team fetched the car quickly each time. Only thing I wish it had was a hot tub….pool is shady in the afternoon and feels cool. Stayed with my 13-year old daughter for a girls weekend.

Start to finish this hotel was amazing! I can NOT speak any higher for the staff! The rooms are gorgeous. Our view was stunning and we were a quick walk to the pier! I do wish the pool had more chairs in the sun, the pools are small. But we were there for the beach! I highly recommend.
