They had been doing some repairs. We had sloppy paint work , paint on the sinks and water faucets. Dirt on the toilet tank and bits of dried plaster or caulking on the floor in the bathroom and on the sink and counter near the vanity area. Looked like they did a grab bar repair on the wall by the tub. Not as good as all the Best Westerns I’ve stayed. However the staff were amazingly accommodating, polite, helpful, friendly. Made you feel as though we had known them for years. There was a sign that said pardon our mess as we upgrade. But there should be a discount if the rooms are not finished with repairs. Odor from the heating and cooling wall unit. They are older , and they usually don’t smell good in any hotel.

The "motion light switch" at the entry door was beyond annoying, because it was also over the sink. It would switch off, even though we were back an forth within the room. Most of them have a "delay" setting within the switch so I get saving 12 watts of LED's, but give me 10 minutes of light for cryin out loud. Room was very clean. Early birds (6am) get breakfast, but retired old farts get cut off at 9:00. Even the coffee pumper was kapoot. Staff acknowledged us with a smile, so they truly get it and deserve kudos!

The hotel is very nice. It seems like they are working on updates. The pool area and patio are very a great feature. The only suggestion I have is that the pool area hours be extended to midnight and offer an adults only time from 10-midnight so that adults can enjoy the pool and hot tub without children. I love when hotels have those policies in place.
