We stayed one night so we could do the caverns , super convenient! Great little place, my only complaint (which isn’t the fault of the hotel but something to consider) the restaurant has weird hours, so it was closed the day we were there (a Monday) and the only place to get food is 20 minutes away in Carlsbad . So after a long day you may not want to drive into town, and no place would deliver because of the distance. Just something to think about.

Location! Location! Location! If you’re visiting Carlsbad Caverns this motel is right outside the National Park entrance. We wanted to get tickets for a ranger led tour of King’s Palace which meant needing to line up outside the visitor center one hour before it opened. We also wanted to return for the bat flight program at sunset. This location allowed us to go back and forth from motel to the park for these events. Breakfast consisted of cereal, packaged muffins, OJ and coffee.

It is a little dated, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was quite sad...a few single-serve containers of a variety of cereals, and individual packaged muffins.

Parking was easy and ample. Rooms were spacious. We did not have the breakfast. The hair dryer did not work but the desk staff very quickly delivered one to the room that did work. All staff were very helpful and nice.

Surprisingly wonderful stay. Rooms are huge and updated. Breakfast was generous. It is far from dining options but they provided a good list of places about 15-20 minutes ago. We found a wonderful grill in Carlsbad - Cascades Grill (amazing food and warm service). Finally the property is close to Carlsbad Caverns - don’t miss the Bat Flight at sunset!!

This was a perfect stop when traveling between Guadalupe Mountains National Park and Carlsbad Caverns National Park. The room was very spacious and important areas clean. There was some dust, but the bathroom and bedding were clean and fresh. The room appeared recently remodeled with fresh window dressings and carpet. The staff was friendly and helpful with information regarding the Carlsbad Caverns evening bat program, as well as a list of restaurants in Carlsbad. A surprise of a complementary continental breakfast was also offered, which was much appreciated since food options are very limited in this area. I would definitely recommend this location, especially if planning to see Carlsbad Caverns. There isn't a closer option, with this National Park only about 7 miles down the road. That was especially helpful if you plan to go to the evening bat program and don't enjoy driving much at night.

Was nervous about staying here because it was more of a mom and pop style motel. But it was perfect for our stay. It’s about 40 minutes from Guadalupe and 20 minutes from Carlsbad Caverns. Simple continental breakfast is all I need (coffee, juice, cereal, muffins). Clean and quiet rooms. And I appreciate the little details like having laminate floor instead of carpeting. I don’t know how it would be in the summer when the pool and waterslides are open. But it was perfect for our national parks trip.
