I had a great stay at Montevideo Chic Boutique Hostel! The location was perfect—central and safe, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The room was a good size, comfortable and clean, which made for a relaxing stay. I really appreciated the practical amenities like the washer and clothes line—super handy for longer stays. The staff were all friendly and helpful, always ready with tips or a smile. Overall, a great value and a cozy place to stay in Montevideo. Highly recommen.

Este lugar es un auténtico lujo en cuanto a su relación calidad precio. Habitaciones sencillas pero más que suficiente, cómodas y amplias. Zonas comunes perfectamente equipadas y una situación a escasos metros de todo lo que hay que visitar en la ciudad vieja. El personal super amable. Lógicamente no esperes lujos pero si un lugar agradable y más que adecuado para descansar.

Een hele aparte ervaring. De eigenaar heeft hier goedkope en jonge stagiaires neergezet vanuit de hele wereld. En die doen dat uitstekend. Samen met wat vaste hotelgasten levery dat een goede sfeer op.Het dakterras met uitzicht en de woonkamer/keuken met hoog plafond in koloniale stijl zijn super. De oude wijk rond dit hotel biedt weinig, maar nog altijd meer dan de rest van deze saaie en deprimerende stad.

Só tem aquecedor nos quartos e o nosso, estava com os criados mudo e a mesa sujos, passamos um papel com álcool para limpar. O banheiro é aberto e o chuveiro sai pouca agua, com isso vc sente muito frio. A cozinha estava bem limpa e as pessoas são agradáveis.

It was so smokey, which we didn't like. Has a nice little terrace. It's a little old and wreck place. Had to go one floor up to use the female bathrooms. We didn't like the lock of the room, it has a hole and can be easily peeked through.

到着した時、頑丈な木製の扉が開かず、番号つきの呼び鈴をどうしたものかと、何回か押したところ、マダム登場。スペイン語オンリーなので、チェックインに時間がかかるかも。歴史ある建物をリノベした快適な部屋だけど、エアコンなし、扇風機あり。シャワーとトイレは共用で、まあ、合格点かな。キッチンは使えますが、電子レンジはさっぱり使えず。素泊まりならよし。翌日のツアー出発が8時と早くなり、連絡できず、タオルと鍵を置き手紙で戻しました。支払い済みだし、何もお金がかかることはないので、問題ないと思いました。マダムがどこにお住まいか、スペイン語できないので、わからずじまいなのが、少し残念。若者が長く滞在しているようでした。港から徒歩圏内なので、助かりました。部屋にテレビはありません。共有スペースに大画面TVがありましたが、見ずに終わりました。

The place is absolutely beautiful. The location is by very short walking distance to the ferry terminal, tge old city (Ciudad Vieja) and Centro. The atmosphere is more like a family of young people living together. Some residents seem to be staying there for long term. However, we, as a couple, booked a room with private bathroom and the bathroom was in fact shared. But for backpackers sleeping in a dormitory, those well-maintained shared facilities shouln’t be an issue.

El hostal es lindo y cómodo, la zona de noche no hay opciones cercanas para comer o salir.. avisen si van a llegar en horarios por la noche porque no escuchan el timbre y te puedes quedar un rato esperando a que abran (y esa calle no es linda para esperar)

Great place overall, but be warned that the old city (where this hostel is located) turns into an absolute ghost town on the weekends - we arrived on a Saturday night and had to walk quite a way to find an open restaurant. If you're planning on staying over a weekend, you may want to consider another neighborhood.

Nice proprietor, Enrico, welcoming me and when asked to, telling all about the city, society and Uruguayan life in general. Very clean rooms. Wi-Fi, Cool roof-terrace with a view of the harbour and all the activities there, including the cruise ships. I'd stay there again, if visiting Monte Video once more. /Martin
