The room my wife and I chose was amazing. It had gorgeous balcony view and allowed us to rest and recharge without feeling like we missed a beat of what’s was going on. We chose this area because it’s close to everything but not right in the middle of everything so we could enjoy our time rest in between adventures without having to use ear plugs lol. Theres a beautiful lake right by the hotel. I enjoyed a run there in the morning and it was fun to see how the locals start their day. Here are some things to be mindful of if you pick this property. Just for full transparency when my wife and I first checked in, they mentioned that there was an issue with the room that we had booked and that it wouldn’t be ready until tomorrow due to water leakage. I get it these things happen but it doesn’t change the fact that the flow and rhythm of our trip was taken off coarse. They offered us another room until our room was ready tomorrow but the room obviously wasn’t the premium room we paid for so I asked to be compensated for the difference and what I was initially offered was nothing but change and I felt as if I was being treated unfairly. After much unnecessary back and forth I was finally offered an amount that seemed fair for the inconvenience and we were able to move forward. I would definitely stay here again because after we were able to move through that hurdle, we could enjoy the staff, our room (ready next day just as they said), and beautiful Hanoi. Be back soon.

The staff were all very friendly and approachable. The location was also very convenient, being close to the city center, making it easy to go for walks and shopping, and I had a very comfortable stay.

The facility itself is old, with a few minor mechanical/plumbing issues. The staff was great though, very attentive and helpful. Location is very close to West Lake.

At first I was upset because they put us in a room on the lower floor that didn’t have natural light. The room itself was also poor. It was smelly, the toilet was smelly, some pillows were smelly, and the shower area would flood when bathing. But then the receptionist help to change me to higher floor with sunlight and I’m happy. I’m lucky, you may not be. Amenities: Towel, toothbrush, slippers all provided. Shampoo and soap also dont lather well so my hair can still stink afterwards. And the bottles aren’t labelled so good luck guessing which is for your hair. Location: short walk to west lake w restaurants and cafe. Going further by taxi is cheap. $1-5 to old quarter, weekend night market, water puppet theatre etc. There’s a (very) small minimart next door for water and snacks. You can collect water at first floor also. We took two tours and tour bus pick up point is just behind the hotel although you will be the earliest pick up before bus circles old quarter. Counter staff always helpful to complaints, request to change room and book tours. In short, a 3 star budget friendly place.
