I recently had an amazing 8 days at this unique resort. You are treated like family from the moment you book through checkin and checkout. Daniel, the owner, and his wonderful staff ensure that you have a truly relaxing and memorable stay. The resort is in a quiet residential area with a few restaurants within walking distance, but the nearest supermarket, shops, and beaches are about 2 km away, so either rent a scooter like we did or hire a driver yourself. Daniel arranged for wayan to drive us for the first few days and he was fantastic and reasonably priced. We had never ridden a scooter around bali before so were very nervous, but because the roads were so quiet it was a bonus added adventure. I highly recommend this resort and look forward to returning.

The rooms are very clean, comfortable and well laid out. Daniel is a great host, along with his 3 lovely staff, he really made our stay very special. Small but intimate resort in a beautiful part of Bali, well located for the airport.

We had just heard about resort gecko when lastminute bookings were messed up by another application. But little did we realize they had done us a favor and we discovered this hidden treasure. Set away in the hambars and not far from balang beach is resort gecko bali only 5 tiny villas with a common pool and a naturist to boot. Our stay here was fantastic our only problem was that it couldnt have been longer. Thank you daniel and your lovely staff for making our stay with you a dream.

We were very impressed by the service of the hotel manager and staff. They were so helpful in carrying our large luggages when we were switched to another homestay on the first night and switching back to Gecko Hotel for another 2 more nights. We were upgraded to a big room as an apology to the inconvenience caused. The hotel is entered through a claw crane shop. There is a small elevator to use. There is no tv in the room. The lighting is a bit dim in the room. The kettle could be cleaner. Mineral water, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, hand soap and shower gel are provided, but not shampoo and shower cap. The bathroom drainage system is not that good, water drains slowly. Bathrobe, hairdryer and minibar are ready to use. There is a rooftop common space. You can enjoy the view of the streets from there. A recommended hotel which is strategically located in the center of the old quarter.
