I reserve a private room which turns out to be in a building down the street above a burger restaurant with a view into the kitchen. The room was clean with only a mattress protector on the bed and no sheet. I found a few bed bug bites which I also saw a few other people mention in the reviews. The main hostel has a rooftop, which is actually just a small square of concrete with a few chairs the rooftop bar is long gone and it's just an empty room where someone has set up a bed. I asked the family dinner one night but it mysteriously went up to ask on the reception blackboard the next day. Dinner consists of fried spring rolls and a few pieces of hard pineapple and mango. The staff that ate with us didn't seem overly keen to be there and this was the only chance to mingle with other guests as there was no real communal area - just a pool table and two tables at reception. The location was excellent and luckily it was right next to a tribe-style bar where you want to meet people. I was perplexed as to why it got such a high rating because everyone else I met there from the start agreed it was average at best. I won't come back. picture taken from the room.

I absolutely recommend this hostel. The staff at this hostel is excellent. They are polite and caring. For instance, I left some items at Leo hostel and they sent them to Hanoi for me. The hostel is very clean and the breakfast is one of the best I have ever had in Vietnam.

After much investigation and reading amazing articles on different travel blogs and booking websites, I chose this place. We reserved a private room for 4 nights, but only stayed one because it was just not what we imagined. The hostel seems to be divided into two parts. The first one was the main building, which also had the cozy looking common room that looked very attractive in the pictures but sadly, a bit messy in real life. We had to go through a restaurant to get to the rooms because we were in the second building, which appeared very unappealing. Upon arrival, the staff was very welcoming and gave us a lot of information, which I was quite pleased with. Normally, hostels at similar prices correct for a very basic concept, but there were a few missteps and deficiencies that other lodgings do correct. The shower provided free shower gel and shampoo, but the dispenser was broken, so I was unable to use them. There was a big hair frog not mine curled up under the free amenities, and the glass next to it was filthy. The fan was not working even though the head was moving. We went to breakfast the next morning, and it was simple yet tasty, and you can grab extras if you're still hungry. The air was working well, so that's pleasant. After breakfast, we didn't feel like we didn't want
