Operating since 2012, the Menoreh train serves economy passengers going from Jakarta to Semarang and vice versa. Originally, the train would run twice from each terminal station, but now there is only one departure per day in each direction. Passengers from Jakarta will depart from Pasar Senen Station, located in Central Jakarta. On the other hand, trains from Semarang will leave from Semarang Tawang Station, which is located in downtown Semarang. The route spans around 439 km and there are comfortable seats onboard, complete with facilities such as reading lamps, toilets, and soundproofed carriages.
