In operation since 1997, Sancaka Sore is the evening route of the Sancaka Train, which runs from Yogyakarta and Surabaya and vice versa. The evening route solely departs from Yogyakarta, stopping at cities such as Nganjuk and Mojokerto before arriving at Semarang Gubeng Station in around 4 hours. Due to recent refurbishments, (premium) economy and executive seats are available with added legroom for executive class seats and reclining features for all classes. Upon arrival at Surabaya, there are many hotels, restaurants, and attractions near Surabaya Gubeng Station. It is also centrally located next to shopping malls and hospitals, making it a convenient arrival point for passengers.
