Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we will definitely return the next time we visit kyoto! To be honest, the best hotel stay weve had in japan so far! We chose to reserve this location for the ryokan experience, and it certainly didnt disappoint. Checkin is super smooth and easy! The line moves pretty quickly because there are usually two hotel employees stationed at the counter. At the entrance, you will also be greeted with a blackboard letting you know about daily weather forecasts and any activities the hotel is hosting. During our stay, they had sake appreciation and soba tasting night for the new year. The room and toilet were immaculate! The shower area also had a door to partition the dry and wet area, which was very nice. The water pressure for us was also strong, so every night when we took a shower after a long day of walking was very soothing. The only minor complaint was that the room was a little dim, but i guess it was just to enhance the entire ryokan experience. If you need extra light in the room, you can rent a nightstand from them for free, which we did. Service was impeccable! Honestly the best customer service from all the three hotels we stayed in during our trip to japan. I suffered from a swollen knee during this trip, and they provided ice packs for us to borrow each night. They also assisted us in booking local taxis (just remember the counter only opens at 7 am) which made our travels much easier. Hotel offerings They have a bar selling sake and other alcohol i highly recommend trying shouchu and the three different kinds of sake, not expensive, just a small bathtub for you and your partner. The heat really helped relieve some of the muscle tension and pain. It also only cost 500 yen for 40 minutes, so it was not expensive at all.

We had a wonderful time during our stay in kyoto, thanks to the lovely staff at this ryoken hotel. We stayed over the new years holiday, and the hotel provided free soba to all of our guests, which was delicious! We also thoroughly enjoyed the japanese breakfast and were impressed by the attentive and caring staff. Our room was perfect for our threenight stay in kyoto. This hotel offers many options for guests to customize their stay, including a variety of breakfast options, bedroom styles, and allows guests to experience japanese culture. I would definitely recommend it!.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. For young travelers, this location is ideal if you enjoy walking, but its not recommended for those bringing older people because it is quite far to walk to anywhere. Our ryokan is spacious and suitable for 3 people. The fact that the toilet is separated from the bath is a plus! The hotel staff were also very helpful. Breakfast options are limited, but it was still a very comfortable stay!.

If we were to visit kyomachiya ryokan again, i would stay here. Lovely ryokan with very helpful staff. The tatami room we reserved easily accommodates two people and could easily accommodate three. We reserved a western room for our son, and lugging open suitcases around two western beds would have been difficult for two people. The rooms were clean and functional, and the futon had an extra foam layer that we (westerners) used to assist us out back. The room was warm, but we turned off the heating, and the windows could be opened. We visited in december. The location was ideal for those who dont mind walking for five to ten minutes to the station, shopping area, etc. The staff will do a bag wash laundry and return it clean, dry, and folded the same day. Japanese breakfast was simple and reasonably priced.

The price to performance ratio in my book is unbelievable. We took a few baths in the bath area and it was exemplary. We are not staying at another hotel about 2 x the price, but its so much worse for me. One of the best hotels ive ever been, from the atmosphere to the japanese rooms with tatami.

We had an amazing 3 nights here! We visited japan for our honeymoon and the service here was impeccable. The room was spacious and comfortable! What a beautiful sight the tatami floors were! We also had the pleasure of booking a private bath, we loved it! The ryokan itself is beautiful and very clean. Highly recommended!.

The ryokan is nice and clean with tatamistyle rooms. The staff are amazing and very helpful. English is spoken well by the reception. The location is great and convenient for buses and the metro. The best part is that they provide a great japanese breakfast - vegetarian if you ask.

I would rate it 6 out of 5 stars because it is a wonderful restful hotel. The hotel is clean, quiet, and has kind staff who speak multiple languages. Excellent service and a good location near laundromat, convenience stores, and restaurants. We really loved this place. The staff is the best.

We had an amazing time here! We have met some of the friendliest staff members ever. The breakfast was also fantastic! Some of the main attractions we wanted to explore, such as nishiki market, pontocho park, and even nenzaka, are all within walking distance of this location. If you enjoy exploring the town by walking through, this is the place to go if you want to experience a ryokan on a tight budget.

This boutique hotel is in a great location in kyoto central, close to great restaurants, shopping, and attractions. This hotel is charming and offers rooms in both western and japanese style. We stayed in a japanesestyle ryokan room and had a great time.

Lokasi Ryokan yang sangat bagus untuk tidur nyenyak di Ryokan dalam jarak berjalan kaki dari Pasar Nishiki, Pontocho atau Gion. Staf yang ramah dan ramah siap membantu Anda. Untuk kami, kamar tatami yang nyaman dan kamar mandi yang bagus. Kami menginap selama 5 hari di Ryokan ini dan merasa sangat nyaman (2 orang dewasa dan seorang anak berusia 10 tahun). Kami memilih kamar dengan tempat tidur futon. Ini mungkin sedikit curam tetapi ini adalah pengalaman yang berharga. Sarapan (tidak termasuk) bervariasi (Anda memiliki pilihan kontinental, Jepang, Amerika, dll Kamar dilengkapi dengan baik (walaupun agak standar (tidak ada meja, tidak ada tempat untuk beristirahat di siang hari jika futon saya disingkirkan). What a fantastic japanesestyle hotel, with a great location and neatness. The quilt is a little short, and taller people might have their feet protruding from it, so covering it with a coat is a nice option.

Saya bisa berkomunikasi dengan sangat lancar dalam bahasa Inggris. Lokasinya nyaman, sekitar 10 menit berjalan kaki dari Stasiun Karasuma. Ada restoran ramen Michelin di sebelahnya. Saya sangat merekomendasikannya.
