A very tasteful japanesestyle hotel built in 1900. It is a local cultural heritage. Really like. The food and service were excellent. A different experience than id get at tavern. Five stars.

The staff were all excellent, and even though most of them didnt speak english, they made an effort to communicate using application translate. They made us feel very welcome and taken care of. We tried two private onsens, both were lovely. The entire ryokan was very clean and the food was delicious, very different from anything ive had before. There is even a tv, wifi, or air conditioning in the rooms. A truly wonderful experience, i highly recommend trying it!.

The ryokan is cozy. Our room was large and clean. Dinner and breakfast were served to our room (and delicious! The hot springs were relaxing, but the water felt a little too hot when entering. Shared bathrooms were causing annoyance, although this was made clear when booking.

It was a wonderful experience and i highly recommend staying here. This ryokan, which was founded in 1890, has been around for over ten years! One might anticipate that this yoken will appear and feel old. We knew this before making our reservation, and we had savored our stay very much. The distance from hakone yamamoto station was only 15 minutes. Our room, akashiura 5, was located on the top floor and next to the river. For the two of us, it was enormous. If you book directly from their website, paying is only required after checking out, so it is cheaper. Mori, our attendant, was fantastic. He made us feel at home and was really polite and courteous. At around 5 p. M., we checked in and had dinner in our room at 6 oclock. Dinner and breakfast are included in the room rate. There are five onsens three private and two public, separated by male and female. After resting, they went to use the private onsenten. It wasnt too relaxing! We wish we could have stayed longer, but our time in ha kone was brief.

We were treated like queen and king during our stay, which was truly delightful. The staffs generosity of spirit was what truly made the stay so wonderful. Our twi meals were exceptional, and the room is quite tranquil with a lovely view of the river. I wholeheartedly endorse it.

We stayed in the room with 3 people in sakura 5. There is plenty of room for our group and a beautiful view of the river. I will never forget falling asleep to the sound of water rushing over the rocks of this river again. We only remained for 1 night, but i wish we had lasted 2 nights to fully enjoy the facilities and attractions. Our host was wonderful and helpful in her english using application translate, which was very kind. The dinner was out of date, displaying delicious traditional japanese cuisine. Great private onsen rooms were provided. If ive ever returned to hakone, im definitely going to stay here again without remorsue. Since it is so hot in summer, the accommodation had just tepid air conditioning unit to make it more comfortable.

Experience the very unique japanese hot spring bath, Japanese service, and japinese meals. The hotel has been open for over 100 years, the facilities are old and there is no separate bathroom. However, hygiene and maintenance are fine. There is a jalan garden. Service is adequate. Transportation is convenient. A bus station 50 meters from the door and he small mountaineering train station 200 meters up the mountain. Although there arent many supporting facilities nearby, it is handy and direct to gora, gotemba, hakomoto yu, lake ashi, etc.

We stayed in sakura for two nights. We had a great time and learned about some amazing and traditional japanese living and eating techniques. The staff was always friendly and very welcoming. There are three private onsens that can be booked anytime for free. Sakura 1 has incredibly beautiful river views that we have never had the pleasure of experiencing before. Make sure not to order the western breakfast by mistake like we did on the second day (the menu says drinks but it means the whole breakfast.

To experience the authentic traditional japanese ryokan, fukuzumiro (fu Zhu Lou ) is a fantastic option. We stayed in rooms next to the haya river. The soothing sound of the river is the ideal setting for sleeping. All of these rooms, onsens, and dining areas are very distinctive. This yoken has more than ten years of history. One thing to note is that many famous people in history have visited this location before, such as natsume sooserki Xia mu Shu Shi, Yasunari kawabata Chuan duan, who i know. Every room has tidbits about the history of this particular suite in each room. If you understand japonics then you can learn more about this place and the people who lived here decades ago. The price is too expensive for the whole experience. Very close to the city center, the location is quite old and needs renovation, especially the bathroom. The staff is great and very kind and the dinner and breakfast are very good.

This place is an excellent choice for two vegan travelers! We simply informed the staff in advance of our dietary restrictions that we were unable to eat here, and they were quite kind and accommodating. We had the best vegan japanese food on our trip here. I would give it a 10 out of 10.

Overall, the experience was fantastic for a night. The location is also very convenient, close to the bus and hakone center. However, if you prefer to be close by the activities next to it, its advisable to travel tahoe. There are some private bathrooms that you can use alone or with one or two more people, and others that are shared. We could reserve the two private ones for an hour, but we didnt use the communal ones. It felt like he was in sanitized place with the constant sound of the river while wearing the rope they give you.

I would recommend it to anyone looking for the complete ryokan experience. Absolutely beautiful place, full service at all times, very few amenities spared. We had a great attendant who spoke good english, and when i mentioned ive been trying to learn japanese, she spoke basic sentences with me to help me practice.

I cant wait to return. This is the place to stay if youre searching for an old traditional ryokan in a fantastic location with stunning views. Its not fake or luxurious, this location will take you back in time as soon as you walk in. Youll feel as though you have stepped back into history with the incredible cuisine and impeccable service. Onsen baths are wonderful for both private and public occasions, but do your homework unless youve never been to japan before due to rules and customs. Familyfriendly and only an 810 minute walk from the train station on the river.

This was my first time visiting ryokan, and i was blown away by the excellent service. Akiko took care of us for our onenight stay and provided us with all the information we needed to know about using the baths and every dish offered. We stayed in room sakura 6, which had a lovely view of the river and plenty of space. The bath were beautiful, there was plenty to try, public or private. Highly recommended if youre in hakone, as it is very easy to get there by foot or by bus.

This location was fantastic. The rooms were cozy, the river view was stunning, and the staff was really friendly. There was no crowd at all in the onsen, which was excellent. Visiting here was one of the highlights of my entire trip.
