The rooms are very nice and attractively decorated. Great retreat for both locals and internationals in an amazing location. My only suggestion is a gauze screen drop-down blind so one can sleep with the doors open without worry of monkeys etc popping in.

Highly recommend this place! Big Cave is a beautiful and tranquil lodge. Everything about it, from the cuisine to the views to the room, is excellent. We went on a tour with zebras, rhinos, and other animals. Both sunrise and sunset from your bed were exquisite. I've been all over the world, and this was one of my favorite places. The food was delicious, and having dinner with other travelers was fun. It's well worth your time and money!

Big Cave Camp is unlike any other lodging I've ever been to. Surrounded by huge boulders that appear to have been dropped from the sky, this distinctive lodge seamlessly incorporates its buildings into the surreal landscape. Individual cabins, each with its own balcony, offer privacy and peace and ensure a quiet nights rest in the comfortable beds. The early morning hike with a great guide taught me a lot about indigenous plants, walking with the rhinos in Matobo park was fun, and the scenic drives on the property well worth the time. Even though it was raining out on our sundowner, sitting in front of the warming fire at the main lodge was a special treat. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was first class, the activities entertaining educational, and both guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. My time spent in the heart of such an incredible landscape was truly memorable and humbling. I would happily recommend a stay at Big Cave to anyone seeking a beautiful, relaxing, and unique getaway.

They served superb food and a great guide. Walking to the top of the boulder in the morning was amazing. The lit sky shining on the stones at night was another unforgettable experience.

This is a fantastic location! The views and venue itself really made a difference. Very good service from the staff. I highly recommend this place, especially if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can just take a moment and enjoy the quiet environment around.

Es war unglaublich still und erholsam. Jedoch für mein Empfinden, viel zu teuer. Gamedrives mussten zusätzlich gebucht und bezahlt werden. Das Essen war ok, jedoch auch für den Preis nicht besonders hochwertig. Im Nachhinein hätte mir auch eine Nacht gereicht. Das Personal ist sehr nett, höflich und zuvorkommend.

Enjoyed the stay. Beautiful views of the Matopos landscape. Most exhilarating experience was the siting of the White rhino and getting very close to it.
