The intercontinental hotel on collins street in Melbourne is the ideal choice for lodgings that exude elegance, comfort, and exceptional service. I was awestruck by my recent stay at this remarkable establishment, and i can confidently say that it surpassed all of my expectations. From the moment i stepped foot into the grand lobby, i was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality. The staff at the intercontinental hotel are the epitome of professionalism, going above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels like a vip. Their attention to detail and personalized service truly set this hotel apart. The rooms at the intercontinental are a haven of tranquility. My suite was elegantly furnished, blending modern sophistication with timeless charm. The plush bedding and the captivating views of the city skyline made for an unforgettable experience. Every convenience was available to me, and the meticulous cleaning ensured that my room was always spotless. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at the hotels renowned restaurant. The culinary offerings were a culinary journey in and of itself. The chefs skill was evident in every dish, with a harmonious fusion of flavors that delighted my taste buds. The impeccable service and exquisite atmosphere created a dining experience that was nothing short of extraordinary. The hotels location is another undeniable advantage. Situated on prestigious collines street, it provides easy access to the vibrant city center. Shopping boutiques, iconic landmarks, and cultural attractions are all within walking distance, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the citys rich history of experiences. The hotel has a stateoftheart fitness center, a tranquil spa, and a stunning rooftop pool offering breathtaking panoramic views. After a long day of exploring the city, indulging in these amenities was the perfect way to relax and rejuvenate. Finally, i must commend the intercontinental hotels strict compliance with safety and cleanliness standards. It was comforting to witness the hotels commitment to maintaining a safe environment for its guests in these uncertain times. The intercontinental hotel on collins street is a true gem that captures the essence of luxury and hospitality. It provides a refined experience that is unparalleled, combining impeccable service, opulent accommodations, and a prime location. Whether your

The hotel is a 10minute walk from nearby bars and nightclubs. When you go out at night, you must be accompanied. The breakfast is delectable and filling, making it ideal for business trips.

This hotel is absolutely stunning. Situated in the heart of the city and within the free tram zone. The atmosphere is so amazing that you could sit in the foyer all day and admire the building from inside. The rooms were clean and good, but if you are traveling with children, i would not recommend the standard rooms because the space is limited. Our toddler had barely enough room to crawl, and we regretted our choice of a room solely on our own fault. The service is excellent. Everyone is extremely friendly and kind, and the best part is that they go above and beyond to resolve any issues with your discomfort. The food is amazing, but it is expensive, as one would expect from a hotel like this, so its not suitable if youre on a tight budget. Their pool is fantastic and heated. Its still quite cold in the winter, but if you enjoy water, you wouldnt mind.

I had a wonderful 4 night stay here with my family. The concierge and checkin staff were very warm and welcoming. The hotel interior is beautiful and luxurious. The rooms are clean and well appointed, although a touch small. Decent gym, sauna, spa and the kids really like the pool of course. Breakfast was included in our stay and the quality was good. However, there wasnt much variety and no variation in options over the 4 days we stayed so this could be something to improve. Overall, this is a really well run hotel and we would stay again.

The hotel is situated in a prime area. I adore the breakfast offered, especially the pancake machine that makes pancakes perfectly! There is nothing to say about the rooms lack of a view and the common area can be a little dim.

The hotel is situated in the Rialto building from the late nineteenth century and boasts a distinctive period style. We reserved a club room, and the evening cocktails and afternoon tea were excellent. The room itself was cozy, although it may be a touch dated. The staff, particularly in the lobby area, are the main drawbacks. They rarely greet visitors or offer much of hospitality.

Excellent family vacation. The service is excellent. At the juice bar at the fantastic breakfast buffet, we all enjoyed making our own juice. Fresh juice is also readily available if you dont want to DIY!). Every little detail has been considered and every convenience is offered - highly recommended.

The pros and cons of this place are obvious. The hotel is stunning, with a stunning structure both inside and out! The hotel is accessible to the elderly, pregnant, wheelchair, or any individual who needs assistance entering the hotel through the automatic doors. The staff is extremely friendly, from the moment you enter until you leave the hotel. Indoor pool, sauna, and gym. My personal favorite is the enormous and comfortable beds with soft dreamy pillows! There are many amenities in the room, including drinks and snacks. Our room had a mini office next to the bed, which was helpful especially for those traveling for work. We didnt have breakfast here because we didnt like the menu and on weekends the area where the hotel is very quiet, especially when no events are scheduled, so we struggled to find a good cafe. We did, however, find one a short walk or bike or scooter away. Must know, if you have any special requirements, just call the hotel ahead and the staff will be happy to help.

As an architect, i was blown away by the restoration and the entire facility, how many hotels can boast of such a legacy. The rooms were amazing, the restaurant and bar were beautiful, and the staff was also a blessing. Thank you for making this experience so memorable.

The spa and pool were closed. This was terrible. The whole reason i booked this place was for the spa facilities, but when i arrived, i found out there were none. The room had great linen and pillows, but the view was terrible because it was a balcony in theory, but only into a closed atrium with no fresh air. The bathroom was cramped and the water pressure was average. Breakfast was ok, but the chef cooked eggs were very underdone. The restaurant is avg restaurant, i had the steak and it was ok but expensive and the cocktails were too sweet. Service was generally very good, but you should warn people they need to put down a $200 bond that will be taken from their account and not paid back until weeks after their stay. Club intercontinental has great service and decent drinks, but the canapes are really bad, dry, oily and cheap. The meat was fossilized.

The only drawback for us was the lack of natural lighting in the rooms, as they all faced the atrium. Excellent location, ideal for a weekend escape. The service from the staff was excellent, from the concierge to reception to the waitresses at breakfast.

The design of the hotel, blending it with an ancient structure, is impressive, and the toiletries are of high quality. The front desk staff are also very friendly and helpful. After staying for a week, i have a few things to share. First, the quality and consistency of room cleaning services are not always reliable, and sometimes they dont even provide free water. Second, the fridge in the room is too small and filled with expensive drinks. There is an iga downstairs where guests can buy many things, so empty the fridge and provide more space for guests to use.

After staying at the intercontinental in Sydney, we stayed in Melbourne for a week, which we loved. Advantages include a comfortable bed, a goodsized room, and delicious dining in the room. Cons the staff didnt acknowledge us once during our entire week there, unless we initiated it, with the exception of the wonderful gentleman who checked us in. Housekeeping was absolutely poor! The air conditioning was terrible, so the room was constantly hot and stuffy. We will continue to stay at the intercontinental in Sydney, but we wont be returning to australia.

The staff at this hotel make your stay memorable, friendly, polite and very helpful. They go above and beyond the fivestar service. The club intercontinental is very comfortable and generous with food and refreshments, as is the breakfast. The chef making omelettes does a great job. We were very happy with our room, large, comfortable bed and pillows, clean, and a bath where you can completely submerge yourself. I have stayed in australian cities several times and have never been disappointed, but this place really stands out.

We had a wonderful stay at the intercontinental. From checkin to checkout, the staff was all lovely and helpful. We stayed in a superior king room that allowed us to open the balcony door that overlooked the atrium. It appears that some rooms dont have the option of opening windows, so we were happy to be able to let fresh air in and out of the room. The shower was just an average hotel shower, which means not great, but hotels rarely have good showers these days. You could choose between the ceiling rainforest showerhead or the wallmounted showerhead, which had more pressure. However, when using the wallmounted showerhead the rainforest would drip cold water. We werent a fan of the fragrance in the body wash or shampoo, but they did the job. The location was great. We were there for both work and leisure, and while the internet connection wasnt as fast as i would have liked, it was fully adequate for the computer work we needed to do. We were close enough to many car rental options at the southern cross train station, and we were close enough to walk to many great food options. The buffet breakfast was great for a hotel. There were so many great options, from smoked salmon and poached eggs, pancakes and nutella, fresh fruit or pastries, and even regular cereals and toast. The coffee here was some of the best we had in the city. The next time we visit Melbourne, the intercontinental will be at the top of the list.
