Just loved the old world style which is so different to to-days modern accommodation. The complimentary sherry and fruit were also a welcome surprise and a nice way to interact with fellow guests

Mike was really helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful. The spa was amazing. Perfect after a long day. Shower pressure was perfect and didn't take too long to heat up.

Very generous sized rooms,clean, every detail attended to, like a roll of glad wrap in the room, kitchen towels, magazines, tea, coffee facilities, a lovely back yard area where u can sit and enjoy the outdoors, walking distance to the supermarkets, and the city, very quite area, would definately stay here again, private shower and toilet, the photographs on the website are similar to what you get

This is our 2nd stay at Kilmarnock House and I've no doubt we will stay there again. If you want a spacioius room with kitchenette facilities this is the place for you. Rooms are beautifully appointed in Edwardian style with lovely antique furniture. Whilst the bathroom is cosy - a small ensuite - the water pressure in the shower is excellent!! There is an electric blanket on gthe bed for those cold Launceston nights. Free off-street parking is available and the House is located within walking distance of the CBD. Whilst the TV screen was small there is complimentary sherry and port available in the upstairs lounge. The House operates on a self-catering basis so it will cost extra if you want your room serviced every day. There is also a guest laundry available for an extra cost.

I like staying in old buildings. This one was lovely and better than expected for the price I paid. The room was tastefully decorated and most things seemed good quality e.g. quilt on bed was wool and kitchen things weren't cheap and nasty. Didn't see much of the owners but that was fine. Only sorry there was no breakfast to be had and real coffee in the kitchen space would have been a bonus. However the nearest supermarket was only a short walk away.

The room was an inviting space, set in a lovely old building, which had everything you could need. It felt like going to visit great grandma! Complimentary port upstairs added even more warmth to the stay. Friendly staff, easy access, highly recommended
