We chose Lotus Glade because it is difficult to enter, remote, has no buffet breakfast, and lacks facilities, and it is not the typical Chinese resort hotel. It does provide individual cabins in a private, almost hidden area to the west end of the lake, which is exactly the reason we chose it. As others have noted, the hotel is challenging to park out front of and almost distinguishable from the street, if you have rps with the address it is recommended or call the hotel to have them wait on the street. A bus stop and parking are both close by across the road. When you enter the hotel, the street is no longer visible, and the atmosphere is almost absurd, with several cabins surrounding a main outdoor diningbar setup among tall trees and views of the lake beyond. The entire staff is friendly and helpful, and although small and beginning to age, the cabin was cozy with good heating in the winter and a decent bathroom. We stayed here for four nights, and after a hectic tour of the west lake region, we felt the cabin was a welcome and pleasant refuge away from the city and tourist areas. Starbucks is only a 510-minute walk from here, and there are plenty of restaurants including McDonald's nearby. Taxis are also easily accessible from the main road to the north near Starbucks. This location is a fairy tale. The rooms are not rooms, they are kind of tiny villas or villas in the middle of jungle or bush, nicely decorated, but not too large. They are quite hastily furnished and you can eat inside. It's very charming and romantic but also a great place for families with kids.

Three other people and I had the pleasure of staying here in the fall. The staff recommended two neighboring homes, and they were right in saying the property wasn't huge but well-designed for style and comfort. It was a cozy little cottage in the woods, right on the banks of West Lake. Modernized amenities and a good mattress made our stay really pleasant. We even had a chance to watch their tea ceremony set up. Although there were many genuine restaurants within walking distance, we did enjoy the courtyard dining because the hotel's menu has all of Guangzhou's traditional dishes. Overall, it was a very comfortable, private, convenient, and artistic experience.

The location is far enough away from the east train station to get to the hotel. The view of the lake from their room is really impressive, especially the beautiful bamboo forest, which borders the west lake. The room size is small, but the atmosphere is also very peaceful and very peaceful. The location is also very strategic. The hotel is not far from the shops, they are close by. There are also no parking and the atmosphere is cool with the surrounding area which is nice for tourists.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Lotus Glade for one night in November 2016. I feel very fortunate to have come across this hotel randomly because it was such a comfort after spending several days in shanghai. The only problem was that I had to flag down probably 10 taxis before I could convince one of the taxis in my broken Mandarin to take us to the hotel, as it was off the beaten path a bit. Once we arrived it was 100 worth the hassle of getting there. Checkin was fairly simple. I studied Mandarin, but there was only one employee who spoke English well. We had our own small cabin, which was completely renovated and modern. Very comfortable bed, wonderful bathroom, wifi, and heater. The hotel grounds were the most amazing part of the stay. We were surrounded by lush vegetation, right on the lake. You can see the temples across the lake from the hotel. We went for a walk late at night to see everything lit up and the sun rising the next morning. Unfortunately, because we were so tired from traveling, we missed their dinner hours but made it for breakfast the next morning. Good traditional Chinese options as well as some attempts at western cuisine. I wish we could have stayed longer, and after spending two weeks traveling in shanghai, guangzhou, whan and hong kong, we both agreed that the lotus glade was by far our favorite stop

It’s very hard to find this place. It isn’t visible from the road and there is no visible sign near the road and the driver went in circles for some time. The rooms are not well-kept so it has a feeling of a youth hostile. Staff was nowhere to be seen at check out so I gave my key to a random guy. They never cleaned my room or gave me fresh towels. The location by the lake is amazing but this place needs new management. It looks much better on Expedia then in real life.
